Tableau, smiling faces and anticipation

- The annual Thanksgiving food tableau at my church (photo taken with a friend's iphone) - the food was donated to two local food co-ops. This tradition began about ten years ago with a Slavic congregation who used to meet at our church in the afternoon; they did it as a surprise the first time.

- Going through mountains of family photos from our family home for preliminary sorting prior to division between sisters. Family faces float through my dreams in black and white and color.

- Sitting in a shop dressing room talking to my sister by cellphone about next weekend and what board games we'll bring. Finally saying to her that I am sure the shop employees wonder what happened to me.

Yeah I dread to think what the shop employee thought you were doing. :D

I watched a special on Stonehenge and dreamt there was a man who could craft perfect globes out of stone - lol!

Lots to be grateful for...that's lovely!

lol - the staff would have been more surprised to hear that people still play boardgames!

What a lovely display! I'm so glad your church made that a tradition. It's a fine one. :)

Don't forget about the possibility of scanning photos, Lynn. I have just done a big scan for my dad of some old photos which several siblings and their children wanted. With modern technology, everybody can have those smiling faces at hand.

So which board games did you finally decide on?

I know, right? There were so many navy photos that I dreamed of the navy and there was a dream about my tiny grandmother, except she was very tall in the dream. :)

Ellis -

I'm sure they were beginning to wonder where I was - it's one of those shops that has someone assigned to you.

Hope your day is going well and that you not running too much!

Joe -

That is a lot of food - it went for a good cause.

Talon -

That sounds like a great dream! And we still love board games in our family.

Meredith -

There are hundreds upon hundreds of photos - yes, we could scan some of them and probably will. But a great deal of them feature us individually and those can just go to the featured one.

Pollyanna or Monopoly probably. :)

Beautiful!

I may end up playing endless Scrabble if it snows here.

So glad that so much food is being donated. It's really needed right now.

Wow. I bet that was quite the emotional task of sorting through the photos.

Riot Kitty -

I hear you did get a major snowfall - Scrabble would be a great way to fill the time. Be safe as you travel, my friend.

Mama Zen -

So true - lots of people in need.

Wendy -

Kind of, but I enjoyed it, too.

Snaggle -

I do, too. I am sort of inspired to put mine and the ones I absorb here into albums now.

I thought that looked like an iPhone fuzzy pic! GORGEOUS-looking blessed display, makes me feel all thankful.

I love that game Balderdash! I suggest it if you haven't it already. Fun, fun, fuh.
