- The trees are blossoming in full force in Atlanta, a sign of an early spring. We are back to the low 30s this morning in temperature, so they must be feeling a bit shivery right about now.- Watching the 1993 film, "In the Name of the Father" - a true story of a group of people falsely convicted of IRA bombings. It is a good somber film for a rainy day and Daniel Day-Lewis's performance in it is phenomenal.
- The church deacons host a cookie reception after the 11am service. A group of women have a discussion about the oddity of cookies served in the lunchtime hour, as we munch cookies then talk about what we are about to have for lunch. :)

Oh Lynn~ I so do love the first blossoms. Thank you for that :) We too had a cold chill blast with snow flurries that stuck causing a one hour delay for school! But alas, the good news is the sun is out full force~~ so there is no way that it can last!! At last!

I LOVE Daniel Day Lewis. I do a pretty good mimic of him (I think) in "There Will Be Blood." "I'm an old man, and all that jazz.) Of course, now you'll be asking me to post a video of me in that mode. :)

But now that I think of it, I AM an old man -- the one writing poems by candle light near an attic window on a June night, lilacs wafting up the trellis.

Our weather did a similar temp trick, over freezing but rainy, then boom- frozen again today- Beautiful pic- Are those Cherry blossoms! Nothing here yet.
