- A still from my favorite Elizabeth Taylor film, "Father of the Bride." I've watched this one over and over. She was only 17 years old when it was filmed.
- In my quest for good walking songs for my ipod, friend Becca suggests Cee Lo Green's "Forget You" - saying, "I could listen to this song all day and never get tired of dancing in my chair..." Ha! It made me do that a little, too. :)
- And not getting my walk yesterday due to logistics, pharmacy hours, pollen count and general laziness. Just settling on the sofa at 6pm wasn't bad either.

There are not many 17 year old actresses that could pull off such a role today. Elizabeth was truly one of the greats.
Dancing in a chair is no easy feat.
Pollen count is hazardous around here and everyone sounds like they are dying.
I hope you are listening to the clean version of that song Lynn? :D
I'm sad about the death of Liz Taylor. :(
My favorite Elizabeth Taylor movie was National Velvet (horse freak over here) :)
I love that song - clean or dirty - it's got a great beat!
Sofa time is good - conserves energy for your next big walk :)
Lynn~ I know :(
I studied her photos yesterday myself. What an amazing life she lived! I loved National Velvet and a few candid shots of her with Montgomery Clift on a movie set. They looked amazing together.
Long live Liz!!

I actually have gotten over my general walking laziness the past few days!! Gotta go early in the morn tho, it's getting warm here already.
Liz Taylor -- what an elegant beauty she was. I hope she's having fun with Micheal Jackson now. They were good buddies.

I have not seen any of Elizabeth Taylor's films, but I will have to remedy that soon. I only know her from photographs, in which she is always stunningly beautiful.
I thought that was a Steve Martin movie! ;-)

I agree. And the pollen makes me crazy every year.

Yes - the video I linked to is the one I was listening to. It's the fun video, censored version. :)
I'm sad, too - I wasn't expecting that.

National Velvet was a great movie, I thought. I love horses, too.
I'll be downloading that song in my next batch of itunes. :)

She did a lot of good, too - a great lady.

Oh I'm having trouble walking with all the pollen and it's going to get double worse. :)

Father of the Bride is a good one to start with - she was so luminous. And Spencer Tracey really makes that film. Cat on a Hot Tin Roof is another good one - and at the other end of the spectrum.

You sneaked in there. Yes - it certainly was, but the first one was better, in my opinion. :)
Pollen count here is driving me nuts!
That's a beautiful photo of Elizabeth Taylor! What talent...at such a young age, and what a wonderful career she had!
PS - I don't know if I've ever danced in a chair...sounds like fun! :)
At a young age
she made her day view
Till she died at 79
everyone know her but a few
If I use “Forget You”
in a poem that I write
I’d have to say you danced
to it all night
But setting on the couch
because of three things
I don’t know about you
but my heart would sing
There's such charm in B&W films of before. While her films were not as widely seen here, likely on account of language barriers, there's much she was written about though.
The pollen can be discomforting to say the least.

It's affecting everything right now - I was so enjoying walking outdoors and now it means I'll have to walk in the mall, I guess. :)
Ily -
I could see you chair dancing. :)

My heart did sing. Thank you for my poem! Lovely.

Father of the Bride is a great film to me because it hits just the right note of exasperation and love surrounding wedding planning. And it doesn't matter that it isn't current - same issues.
Yep, I'm feeling sad about Liz Taylor too- At least she's got a lasting legacy we can always watch. Never heard of that song- research time. We're not ebven near pollem time here- I know there'll be some head-aches then.

Yes - I imagine the pollen is about a month or so away from you. My sister is in western North Carolina right now and says there's none there yet.
