Loving his work, wisdom and miércoles

- I adore watching this guy who stands in a shopping cart directing people to a tax preparation business while enthusiastically dancing all the while. Sometimes I detour in the afternoon to see if he is there and we wave.

- From my niece on facebook, referring to her dad: "Don't give 'em the satisfaction of living in your head rent free" --Daddy's wisdom for the day :)

- Looking forward to "suburban book club" discussion on Sunday of "The Speed of Light" by Elizabeth Rosner, a novel that has sort of entered my dreams. An adult brother and sister struggle to find their voices, but both their lives begin to change on a Wednesday, miércoles, the day that sounds like miracles.

It's a little miracle that the weekend is here - it's been a long week, but it's all good. :) Have a great weekend, my friends!

That guy is so cool! Only in America right? :D

Yes this has been a long week, and a mixture of both pain and joy.

Have a great weekend!

TGIF!

In French it's Mercredi.

I read a book once, long long ago. Now I read blogs and my life is complete.

We have persons who advertise for the same company around here and once in a while they will hire a fellow like your guy who is quite an entertainer. Lots go out of their way to watch him but I don't know how many actually go to the tax preparer.

It is a down right shame the number of people who live in my head rent free. That is indeed a statement of wisdom.

Wish we had a book club group around here.

So glad I read your post because I actually thought today was Thursday:)

We have a dancing pizza sign guy who's a local celebrity. :)

Hope your weekend holds a miracle or two, Lynn!

Joe -

He is a great dancer, too. :) It's been a looong week. Hope you are OK and that your weekend is good, Joe.

Jannie -

I know - blog reading takes up a bit of time, eh???

Granny Annie -

It's a good hook to get people in the door, I think. I'm always seeing people in those costumes around, but he is the only one with such energy.

Isn't that a wise statement? My brother-in-law is a smart man.

Some county libraries sponsor book clubs or you can start your own. I'm in two now - my urban book club and my suburban book club. :) I get the feeling you live in the country though.

Happy Friday!

A dancing pizza slice? I like it. Hope miracles are in store for you, too. :)

It is raining here all weekend - maybe some of that pollen will wash away...

Love that quote. Considering what had happened to me today, that quote will be acted on for the entire weekend.

Agree w/G. I need to write that down and put it on my computer at work.

Believe it or not, our tax prep place has a guy dressed like that and dancing on the corner, too!

Hi Lynn,

Yes, it's been a long week for me too - and I've missed you in the past couple of months.

I see those tax guys too but ours don't stand in shopping carts. too funny!

I love that quote about not giving them the satisfaction of living in your head. I will have to remember that!

My very tall, dark niece had that job for Liberty Tax Prep in Florida last year- What a fun job! She loves acting. Pulls in alot of business I guess.
Strange quote- means don't dwell on nasty folks I guess-
Sounds like an interesting book with synchronicity playing a part.
My dreams have been strange lately. Went to find my Mom's old house but the street no longer existed- wonder where that came from? Maybe it was the orange juice...
Have a good week-end!

Enjoy your weekend. I don't think I would like that job of being a walking Statue!

I may be going just for the cake - I haven't finished the book, but I do love it.

G -

I hope you are OK!

I saw my sister for about an hour as she was passing thru town yesterday and told her that I had shared her husband's wisdom. :)

MZ -

I believe it - I think they are a chain. I very often see people dressed like him or Uncle Sam walking from the bus stop. But he is a great dancer - what great exercise, too. :)

Wendy -

Does this mean you are starting up your blog again? I'll check it out - it's good to see you.

Snaggle -

Dreams are so interesting to me - I dreamed about someone who used to report to me a long time ago and wonder if he is OK. A guy with just a sparkling personality and who was a joy to work with.

Sage -

No - not your calling, I wouldn't think. :)

Ellis -

Probably not for me either. :)

How charming! Imagine being that guy, I wonder if he enjoys it as much as you do!

That there is pure wisdom. I'll try to take that to heart this week!

Enjoy your book club :) And enjoy life's miracles!
