- The blossoms dropped and are now scattered to the universe by the diresome storm we had Friday night. The word "diresome" in honor of the dialect used in the 19th century Hawaiian section of "Cloud Atlas" - currently reading.
- Making a birthday gift bag for someone who could use a gift right about now - a bottle of chardonnay, a solid dark chocolate Easter bunny and a bag of York Peppermint Patties. I tell her that you know you are good friends with someone when you know the exact brand of wine they like and what kind of candy they prefer.
- A meeting that was expected to be difficult comes out alright.

That sounds like a perfect gift!
You are a wonderful friend. LOVE chocolate bunnies. Perfect
Mama Zen -
It was fun to do that all up in pink and green, too. :)

Well - she's a wonderful friend, too - the gift was inspired by her giving me her ticket to the Broadway Across America production of "Hair." She is overwhelmed with life and feeling beleaguered. She didn't expect any reciprocation - making it all the more fun to put together.
You know YOU are a good friend when you take the time to make such a perfect bag of goodies for someone.
Diresome - just doesn't have the same sound of doom as dire on its own. Petal blankets - sad, but lovely!
Almond Joy -- that's what Suzie likes. Kalyani has allergies, so she makes her own chocolates, cookies and such. And Trixie goes for that German doppel boch.
And YOU like Snickers, regular.
I think your comments went to my spam folder this a.m. because of all those wonderful x's and o's -- so I moderated your original one back in.
How 'bout that new fence in the picture -- I think that was my fave part, nothing like aromatic new cedar pickets all in a row to bring this fence-lovin' gal a smile.

Blossoms dropped
wine rocked
candy was grand
meeting underhand

Just think - you still have the pretty flowering trees to look forward to. That was pretty much it for the blossoms. :)

Yep - just a regular old Snickers gal. :)
Thanks - who knew that too many x's and o's would cause it to go to spam? Hee hee.
That fence is at my client's parking lot - just around the corner from my condo.

That is a good poem! Thank you for it. :)
What is going on with the weather, Lynn? I swear, I'm scared to stick my head out the door some days!
I love the picture of pink and agree with you about friends.
It's funny I love York Peppermint Patties. I also like the thin mints. My mom used to have them at her bridge club and I sneak in and steal some:~)
I'm also glad the meeting ended up better than you expected.
This was a nice three. Thanks for sharing it:~)
I like your last comment Lynn. I remember so many meetings that I dreaded and then...sometimes unexpectedly, my 'worst fears' never materialized! Hope that you have a great day!!!!! I am taking some on-line courses so I am busier than usual; late getting to things blog-wise here! Plus trying to put in a garden!!!!!
lg!! luv ya Lynn!!
your blossoms are on the ground (and in the pool) and ours are yet to bud!
Nom! I want a chocolate Easter bunny.

I know and you have to go out in it, I guess.
Sara -
This particular friend always brings chocolate peppermints to share after dinner and pre-theater - so it seemed appropriate. :)

About the meeting - someone who likes to have their way and is a bit rigid about it was feeling flexible.
Sage -
Ah, but they are on the way and how lovely it will be!
Riot Kitty -
Me, too - sadly dieting still. :)
Pretty parking lot litter- reminds me of flower petals strewn for weddings... Such a good friend to know what they like n be so thoughtful! I bet you're so good at meetings, you made it easier-
Snaggle -
I don't like meetings much, but I do everything I can to make them easier. :)
