Errant leaf, marking the spot and back porch visitor

- An errant leaf on the trail at Tanyard Creek Park in Atlanta.  I love how it joined its concrete impressed brethren at this spot.

- On another walk up the street where I live, these old mile posts must have provided important mapping for past travelers.

- After the walk, the sun shines on a spider's web on my back porch.

I am so excited about the new look of my blog!  Thank you to fellow A to Z Challenge traveler Lisa Campbell for designing it for me.  You can find Lisa at her All Things Campbell blog here.  Her contact information is on her blog.  Cheers to Lisa!

Oh yes, I love the new look of your blog. Good job Lisa. Of course I loved the old look as well:)

Perhaps the new leaf is visiting the memorial monuments of old friends.

If those mile markers could talk about all the hands that have rested upon them.

The spider webs are so lovely but so ugly when you walk into one that is as strong as dental floss and it almost bounces you back when you run into it. LOL

Oh look, you have a surprise blog change today!
Leaves must've fallen on the setting concrete- almost like fossils in granite. I wonder how many years those posts have been there- 200 or so? So much work went into that huge web- I hope it catches her some bountiful dinner rewards. Great pic-

Granny Annie -

Thank you. I just thought a little update was in order. She made it so easy - just asked a few questions and came up with a design that seems perfect.

Ha! Leaf memorial for sure. :)

As long as spiders stay out of my hair, I'm OK. (I posted about that once - having a shrieking fit when I inadverdently walked through a spider web.)

Snaggle -

I'm quite excited about it the blog design.

Yes - it would be impossible to keep falling leaves off setting concrete on that part of the path. There are leaf impressions all around and I think they look so cool - like they were meant to be there.

Oh boy I thought I'd come to the wrong blog for a minute! Love the new look. Very nice!

Spiders on the hair is never a nice experience. :D

Yep, looking super snazzy here, Lynn. Love your new look.

Lots of leaves, one of them errant. Mileposts to light the way. A spider friend to keep the bad bugs at bay.

Lovely post.

Those three mile markers so close together are a reminder that our world really is getting smaller ;)

I love it, it's perfectly you.

I am happy to have some spiders making their homes near my tomato and basil plants - they eat the things that want to eat them.

Joe -

I'm glad you like it - I like it, too.

Jannie -

Thanks, my friend. xo

Sage -

I know, right?

Riot Kitty -

I'm growing basil this year, too - it's been a while. I decided it's too expensive to buy at the grocery store.

I noticed your blog change right away - it is GORGEOUS! Lucky you and you deserve it. sandie

I almost didn't recognize you. : )
I like those old markers and the leaf on the walkway. So many people would walk right by all three things and never even take notice of them.

Sandie -

Thank you - it was fun talking it through. :)

My comments seem down, so I hope everyone realizes it's me here. :)

I walked by those markers again yesterday - they are marked with a V. I wonder if they are mile markers at all or if that stands for a valve marking or something.

I am thinking that Atlanta is HOT. We have our fans running, even up here. No breeze right now.

That is some web! They never fail to amaze me. So intricate and delicate and strong all at the same time. And I love the new look. It's perfect! Lisa did a beautiful job.

Whether you sign L or lg - I love it when you visit!

Thank you - I like the sign, too. Lisa and I met through blogging in the A to Z Challenge, and I contracted her to give my blog a new look. She really got it, I think.

Stay cool!

Thank you!

One of the benefits of having my iPhone with me during my walks. I use the iPod app and listen to music, but can accept calls and photograph things, too.

One might argue that I should not accept calls during my walk, but sometimes someone comes up with something fun to do - such as inviting a sweaty girl to dinner. :) Totally OK for a pub dinner in these parts. :)

Betty -

Thank you - I walked by that and it was arranged perfectly.

Big hugs to you!

Again - taken with my phone - I wasn't sure how that would turn out, but the web sparkled through!

I LOVE IT:~) I get back and everyone's been redecorating. This is really nicely done!

I loved the picture of the green leaf next to the concrete impressions. That's so cool. The spider web is also nice. There's something about sunshine and spiderwebs. They sparkle when they come together. Hope you're staying relatively cool:~)

What a wonderful header for a wonderful blog. Your blog is a treat to visit, and this new look really wraps it up imaginatively. Wish you many, many years enriching readers with 'good things that happen'.

The leaf came looking for itself in the concrete. Nice capture.

Excellent new look to your blog. Kudos to Lisa for doing a fine outstanding job. The one major plus is that it loads in nothing flat. No delays or lockups.

I think this new template shows the real you.

The mile markers make one think, don't they?

Thank you - I like it, too. I'm staying relatively cool. :) More so that your area, I'm thinking. My sis keeps me appraised of the heat down there.

Not bad for an iPhone pic for the spiderweb. I hear the 4G photos are even better.

Anil P -

Yes - the leaf landed perfectly, didn't it?

And thank you - I love it, too.

G -

Thank you - I was concerned that it might go slower loading, but it doesn't seem to. Yes - I've got my Good Things shingle out! :)

Pearl -

Oh the things they have seen!
