Irony, dreaming and peaceful activity

- The irony of this fun sign.  This garden has a plethora of blooms.  More photos from the banks of the Hiwassee River.

- I dream of the cooler air in the mountains during the humidity we're having in Atlanta right now.  Might be time for a visit again soon.

- The sparkling morning light on the fishing hole.  I also see fly fisherman walking up the river sometimes, but never see anyone catching fish.  Perhaps that isn't the point.

I think that the fact that they are in the nature, enjoying its beauty is enough for fishermen :)

I am so impressed you go out in the Hotlanta humidity. I can't do it. Great example of irony and I can't help but think of Brad Pitt in A River Runs Through It when I think of flyfishing. :)

I really dream of the hot weather in Arizona now, and am so fed up of the cool, wet weather we are having here in the UK right now.

Beautiful shots. I hope you had a wonderful weekend.

The beauty of that river is just too much!

Fishing is the one sport where you don't have to bring home a prize. You can get more mileage out of the story of the one that got away!

I have no garden, so I need that sign. I doubt it will fool anyone.

If you re-visit my post and click on the words "Thunder shirt" you can find out what it is!

Claudia -

The man that fishes at that "hole" most often catches and releases. But I never see him catch. You are right - I think being outside in nature is more than enough.

I'm keeping up with my walks, but skipped the one on Sunday morning.

I loved that movie - might be time to see it again.

Joe -

The grass is always greener, I guess - we could use some cool, wet weather. :)

Sage -

It really is. My sister was there last week and a repairman who came over to offer an estimate kept getting distracted by the river.

Granny Annie -

So true - like the time I caught a flounder on the Chesapeake Bay and it slipped off the hook before we could get it in. Rats!

Judy -

And I would have thought you would have a garden, since you work with beautiful flowers all the time.

I love the new look of your site, more homey and it's pretty!

I envy you for being able to tread to places like the ones you captured in the photos. We live in an urban jungle and I'd like to experience frequent bliss too :P

Have a great week ahead, Ms Lynn :D

I need a sign that says, "My plant was alive yesterday. Sorry you missed it!"

I feel like that sign sometimes when I only get a glimpse out the deck window instead of getting out there- You can't always be at the getaway spot! Pretty water shots, I want to wade right in there- 3rd pic so pretty!
Still humid but cooler here in showers now- not as bad.

OldLady of the Hills -

I think we are used to the humidity, but it does make the summer seem long.

Farida -

I work in an urban jungle - I do live in a slightly greener area though. I hope you have a great week, too, Farida!

Shionge -

If I could do that, then my job is done. Happy day, my friend.

Sandie -

Not one drop of rain at my house!

I'm relieved it has cooled off for you some. I hope you have a great day!

I grew up playing in the NC mountains during the Summer at my cousins house. It was always so much cooler there.

Simply Suthern -

I always think so - although I'm hearing from all over, Canada in particular, that's it's hot there.

Betty -

It does seem inviting. Big hugs to you!

Thanks for coming by!
