Miracles, soaking it in and the Hot Light

Two quotations caught my eye this week and are the first two things.

"There are two ways to live:  you can live as if nothing is a miracle; you can live as if everything is a miracle."
― Albert Einstein

“I think it pisses God off if you walk by the color purple in a field somewhere and don't notice it.”
― Alice Walker, The Color Purple

- Another of life's wonders - the Hot Light was on at Krispy Kreme Doughnuts when I stopped to get some for the crew at work.  I might have had one of those hot doughnuts myself.  :)  Yum.

I hope you weekend is filled with miracles, beauty and wonders.  Have a great one!

Albert was a very smart man:)

It is rare to seen any purple in our field. We do have Irises but they are gone now. Sometimes tiny wildflowers will pop up in purple. I hope I never fail to notice them.

You know how to win the troops. We always loved anyone who brought donuts to work, and no, I wasn't a policeman! LOL

Both quotes remind me of the goodness and greatness of our God. btw, I've heard if you eat a KK donut while it's hot it has no calories. :) have a wonderful weekend.

What a happy post! I loves both of those quotes!

Lovely quotes. The pictures add more color to them. Einstein's quote made me remember bluesman Willie Dixon's words: "I life the life I love and I love the life I live."

Granny Annie -

He WAS smart! And I think you would notice the purple flowers - you're like that.

Morale was bad this week for some reason - donuts seem to make everything better.

happygirl -

Absolutely. And I like that Krispy Kreme rule. :)

Claudia -

Same to you, Claudia!

Joanne -

Thank you - that's what I aim for.

And I would love some of that chocolate tart you posted about today. Yum.

Lisa -

Thank you, Lisa!

Shyamanga -

Hey - it's good to see you here again. That's a great quote from Willie Dixon, too.

Believe it or not, I have never read that Alice Walker quote! Nice!

I never knew that Einstein said that! So true. Everything is a miracle, for sure.

Shionge -

Absolutely.

Sandie -

I'm so glad you like it - we tweaked it a bit yesterday. A little more red.

Riot Kitty -

That was spoken by the character in the book Shug Avery. I ran across it yesterday in conjunction with a book I am reading, "An Altar in the World" by Barbara Brown Taylor.

Sparkling Red -

It's kind of looking at life with a cup half full. :)

Nice photos and quotes and that hot sign at Krispy Kreme can lure the dieting out of me!

I was here early Fri am, but the chrome browser wouldn't open the comment page!
I always like Einstien's quotes- I suspose life itself is the ultimate miracle.
I do love my purple flowers! Why do I not remember that line from the Oprah Movie years ago?
I've never had a Krispy Kreme yet- you are so lucky. We get spoiled for fresh goodies at work too- so much better. The croissants just melt in your mouth, prob like a warm Krispy Kreme huh?

Hope your week-end is going well

Sage -

Thank you - and I'm with ya on the dieting thing.

Snaggle -

I'll bet you do have some good things to eat where you work. A hot croissant isn't something I ever see! Yum.

That second quote is so true. There is something truly magical about the colour purple and yet I don't often see it, or wear for that matter.

I've never had a KK Donut, and feel I'm really missing out!!

Joe -

There's a Krispy Kreme store in Mesa, Arizona - maybe that's close to your house there?

I love the color purple and am wearing it today. :)

I find it hard to ignore any colours when out walking so I think I'm good with God ;)

There are wild asters blooming all over the place and their pretty purple is such a welcome sight. They're keeping company with the abundance of wild daisies this year. They seem to thrive even more in the heat.
