Chickens, mushroom and squirrel underpants

- I laugh at myself for even posting this picture, taken out of my car window with my phone.  There were chickens pecking away on this front lawn on a very busy midtown Atlanta street.  You can see them there in the upper right - some brown specks.  They're there.  Really.

- This giant mushroom appeared on the side lawn of the printing company.  I imagine some bug party going on under this natural cabana at night when all the working people are away.

- And something wacky posted in my hairdresser's home salon.  He and his wife feed the birds and squirrels indiscriminately, so why not come up with wardrobe, too?  Those are actual little tighty whities.  :)

Here in the states we have what is known as Labor Day weekend, so I'm off Monday.  I'll be in the mountains, sitting beside the river, doing some reading and relaxation.  I hope you have a wonderful weekend wherever you are.  (I'll be playing blog catch up on Monday when I'm back.)

Have a wonderful weekend. Squirrel underpants are going to haunt me though. It is not a pretty thought. It is an even worse image. Sigh.

I may no recover from the squirrel undies. Funny. Have a great trip to the mountains. I'm in the states, myself. Sadly, my college does not celebrate Labor Day. I'll be at work. :)

Your title cracked me up! I wasn't sure if you mean squirrel underpants, or that the underpants were described as chickens, mushroom and squirrel.

I think those squirrels in pants is just about the funniest thing I've ever seen.

Have a great weekend.

That chicken pic looks like most of my bird pics- too far away n high contrast in the sunlight. Amazes me still how much better my eye sees. Did I ever mention my great Uncle was a chicken farmer with Rhode Island Reds in VT? He was Chicken Man of the Year for decades I heard.
I had some huge similar mushrooms out back this summer. More brown tho- pics are somewhere... So many unused! Yep a BIG buggy party!
That squirrel thing is so silly! Almost like SpongeBob SquarePants.
I always get tons of hits for that search word-
There's people all over the place here again, n I have too many work orders to slow down now.
Enjoy that quiet Rivertime!

Sure there are chickens in the yard...yes, sure there are.(?) Now you have a nice relaxing weekend because it sounds like you might need it.

I too imagine small critters dancing and playing under mushroom umbrellas AND I know dolls come to life at night.

Squirrel underpants might make it easy for my dog Slim to catch one. Better warn the squirrels before they invest.

Yeah, I got some bird pics like that. If you squint real hard until your eyes are closed, you can probably see them.

Squirerel underpants?

I get it. It's Captain Underpants faithful sidekick, Squirrel Underpants!

Holy guacamole, that is an enormous mushroom! I can picture moths and night fairies flitting around it in the moonlight.

I can't see the chickens!!

I hope you had a lovely Labor Day. Nope it's just a normal day here in the UK. We left the States on Saturday night so missed all the fun.

The Elephant's Child -

Thank you - I did. Sorry for the haunting image - his place is such a festival of silly stuff that I just snapped that pic the last time and ran across it.

happygirl -

Sorry you didn't get Labor Day - my friend who went with me to the mountains told me that her son's college doesn't celebrate Labor Day either since school was only just back in session. I didn't know they did that.

Claudia -

I know - huge, huh?

Riot Kitty -

Oh - how funny. I could see how that would seem read like that. :)

Sandie -

I think so, too.

Snaggle -

It seems so odd that there were chickens in that spot. I wonder where they came from - truly.

No I didn't remember that, but it's neat. I hope you didn't have to work too hard!

Granny Annie -

I did need it - I'm feeling a bit shell shocked to be up so early this a.m.

I'm glad you can see the under the mushroom party, too! Lights strung up - a bug band playing. :)

Joanne -

Really huge - I wanted to snap that pic before the lawn mowers got to it. I'm glad you can see the party, too. :)

Joe -

Missed you - it seems like a long time! It was just a travel day for me mostly. :)

I'm glad you can see the chickens. I still scratching my head over that one.

I'll be posting again tomorrow. I overslept a bit this a.m.

Your Labor Day plans sounds so sweeet. Hope you had a great weekend.

I think I've seen that squirrel in underpants. He must get around. ;)

I tried to see the chickens but couldn't...unless they look like little dots of reddish light. I know my vision's bad but now I'm really starting to wonder if I need more than just reading glasses.

Happy Short Week!!

Pearl -

Ha! Bet you can. :)

Scarlet -

No - it's not you - I can't see them either really, except I know they are there. They were out there last night, too. I wonder how the neighbors feel about that. :)
