Shower flowers, rain on the way and gathering

- A beautiful weekend with family at my sister's home in Florida.  When the honored guest walked in on Friday night, we all gave a collective, "Awww!"  She would have bent over double laughing at us if she could.  Her baby is due September 2 and we were there for her home town baby shower on Saturday a.m.

- Low hanging clouds in the wilderness of northern Florida.

- Pete takes a breather while we drink coffee on the back porch on Sunday morning.  It was my absolute favorite time of the weekend - sleepy eyed family wandering outside to join others on the porch, hostess sister shooing us out of the kitchen while she made brunch.  Much laughing.  A lovely time.

Don't we girls get silly about expected babies? "Awww!"

Did you take that magnificent photograph? Or is it a picture postcard?

Looks like Peter hasn't missed many meals.

(Missed you on Monday but glad you were having a great time in your absence.)

The Elephant's Child -

My sisters and I still had some sorted through papers to do, but we managed some fun, too. :)

Leonora -

It was wonderful! I wish we did not live in three different states.

Yes - I'll be a two-time great aunt now.

Granny Annie -

We do. :)

All photos taken with iPhone. The memory card of my digital camera became full.

Pete's a good mouser, but got caught in the rafters of the barn a couple of weeks ago and won't go in there now. The weight is showing, I guess. :)

Thank you - I missed you, too!

Thank you - I loved it.

Dear soon to be 2-time Great Aunt,

I like Pete's white leg! Somebody must spilled some bleach on that part of him once. :) Hanging for coffee would be My fave time too.

Gorgeous flowers on what looks like a nice old table.

And I like what you did to that 2nd photo.

I'm glad you have sisters - that you are close - and visit and have fun. I did not know there was any wilderness left in Florida though. Very pretty.

Jannie -

My sister is beside herself with excitement - this will be her first grandchild. So each sister will have one now. I love being a great auntie. :)

Sandie -

The area around there is mostly farmland - so calling it wilderness is meant more tongue-in-cheek. Lots of swampiness around there, too.

Very nice photo of northern Florida Lynn. I enjoyed looking at that. It had real depth. Reminded me of Kansas or something like in the wizard of Oz. Good job!

Pretty arrangement- Sounds like a good time! N a shower on the way at a shower for a baby on the way- cool! What a beautiful scene of rural living!
N Pete hanging out near the pool room. At least he's not locked outside the door again! We all should lounge like cats sometimes. Sounds like a grande family time. Glad you could have the fun memory together.

It's kind of amazing - the photos you can take with the iPhone. This one had a little color saturation in the editing of it. :)

It was awesome.

Pete is often getting banished, but he was able to be with the fam outside. :)

Sage -

It rained all day on Sunday - loved that rainy day.

It sounds like you had an absolutely wonderful time. And you've described it so beautifully, in so few words.

Which is as it should be! All of it.

Blessings and Bear hugs!
