Just because, pure magic and cyberspace messages

- Picking up a $5 bouquet of flowers at the market, just because.  And putting them in a vase I once gave my mom for Mother's Day.

- Friend Judy, on her way to Hilton Head, South Carolina nine hours ago, posts on facebook:  "Look at that crazy big moon!"  Which inspires me to step outside at 5:45am to see the moon.  It is crazy big!  Beautiful and glowing.  And the birds are enthusiastically singing, having this time mostly to themselves, except for a lone woman looking at the moon.

- Facebook inspires mixed feelings, but there have been so many good and beautiful things posted the last couple of days:

- Friend Ann posted a beautiful tribute to her Aunt Juliette, who has passed away, "She was loved by everyone who met her."

- Second cousin Anna posts this surprise this morning:  "Saw baby Doodlebug sucking its thumb for the first time today on ultrasound.  At 13 weeks, he or she now has fingerprints--amazing!!!--and is "fearfully and wonderfully made."

- And a young lady, Lara, I used to work with at my corporate job, posts about a coworker who is departing for another job:  "I am so incredibly happy for her, but also sad.  I will miss her face and it's reminded me of all those I've worked with in the past that have touched my life in one way or another."

Amen to that!  I am so happy to have you all in my life and cherish your comments.  Have a lovely weekend, my friends!

Lynn~ I noticed the 'spring' moon last night too,. Here is my ode to it:
----------------------------------
Spring Moon

A spring moon
lights the room,
white light
extraordinaire.
A spring moon
lifted high, brings with it
soft light to make things clear.

It rests gently on the pillow.
It makes puppets to play on the wall.
It is not overcome by the shadow of night,
a comfort to one and to all.

So if you happen to find it,
a pasted orb up in the sky...
take care to study and to wonder upon
the majestic moon
on its course as it passes by.

I loved the 'touch of you' sharing that the flowers were in a vase you gave your Mom! My Mother is still alive but my Father has passed almost 10 years ago. Not looking forward to seeing things I gave my Mom on my walls! I have things of my Mother-in-law's now...
LOVE you and hope that your weekend..well~~ ROCKS! Lynn.

The moon was stunning last night. I'm glad the skies cleared for us so we could enjoy it.

Have a beautiful weekend, Lynn!

Claudia -

Thank you. I like those purple flowers and am not sure what they are called.

Leonora -

Wow! I like that.

Joe -

Thank you - I always aim to be positive. And lovely of you to make such a lovely comment!

Oh I love your ode to that majestic moon.

Oddly - my mother never really used that vase. She preferred flowers to stay in the garden, so I was happy to get it when we cleared out the house after she passed away.

Love you, too, my friend! I hope your weekend rocks as well.

Talon -

I thought of you and the beautiful moon shots you take. I need to get a small tripod so I can try that sometime.

Those are awesome looking flowers in the Mom's vase! I have a moon pic of the "Pink" Moon from the other Evening at the bridge- haven't posted it tho. Glad you got in a good view with the pretty birdsong. That's what I miss in the winter- birdsong.
I still don't facebook- then I'd be so glued here I'd never sleep...
Another great way to be remembered tho-

Forgot to wish you a splendid week-end!

Have a magical weekend. The flowers are beautiful - and I can't think of a better reason to have them than just because - or a better place to display them.

Betty -

It's always good to see you - stop by when you can. Hugs -

happygirl -

Thank you -

Granny Annie -

So often people get on facebook with political rants (my niece, in particular, does that), so that viewing of facebook brought so many good things, I just had to share.

Riot Kitty -

Thank you - I try!

I just look at facebook a couple of times a day - it's a good way to keep up with old friends and distant family.

And the woman who posted about her coworker started as as a clerk who proofread for that company. She quickly put herself in the right places and rose to the point that she is operations level now. I'm proud of her.

The Elephant's Child -

Yes - my kitchen is brightened with those flowers. :)

Joanne -

Absolutely. I hope your moving is going well. Aren't you moving today???

Facebook has its sweet moments, yet. I loved all those updates you saw and it's a good reminder to stop and appreciate the gift of life and all the beauty that surrounds us. Btw, I love your $5 flowers. They don't cost much $ but they offer a lot of beauty and joy.

Had to click on a blank picture in order to see the flowers (think my computer or Blogger is acting wonky again). Lovely flowers.

And sometimes you can find the most unexpected pleasures on Facebook.

I know there are some who "knock" Facebook...I'm not one of those.

I've reconnected with quite a few friends that I'd lost contact with...so it's been good for me...and for them, too, I think!

The moon was high, large and bright down this way last week, too...and the possums came out to play at night!

Shionge -

I'll bet you have fun with facebook - you are such a traveler. I sent you a message with info.

G -

And sometimes not. I have learned to hide the things I don't want to see on facebook (rants, political or otherwise), etc.

I don't know why the picture came up blank - curious.

Lee -

Same here. I get to see what old friends are up to.
