Pink clouds, he's a keeper and special time of day

- When I passed these trees in front of the elementary school on my street last Sunday morning, a woman was photographing two little boys in front of them.  They were laughing and romping around - I'll bet those photos turned out great.  This photo was from my return trip from my walk in the park and I couldn't resist photographing these trees myself (from across the street, using the camera on my phone).  They look like pink clouds in person and I wish my photo did them justice.

- This message from cousin Anna on facebook this a.m. regarding her son Jack's birthday today:  "Happy 9th birthday to the best big brother, wonderful son, puppy lover, chicken chaser, Harry Potter reader, loving son, and kind friend that a mother could ever hope for!!!  Love you, Jack, and am so blessed to be your mommy."

- Loving the time (Monday through Friday) between 5am and 6am.  After the initial getting-out-of-bed resistance, there is such quiet and peace.  No talking, no TV, no noise at all, except for the distant sound of the train whistle a mile away.

We've got cherry blossoms here. They're a little late arriving, but they made it. I, for one, cannot imagine what 5 a.m. looks like. Bless you and Happy Birthday, Jack. :)

Ah, the peace of early morning. It's my absolute favorite time of the day.

Bet you wanted to romp with the children.

I will be gone again on same journey.

The cherry blossoms all came out at once (so did the kleenex!) I am never awake between 5 and 6, so I'm not hearing anything ;)

I hear you on the morning bliss :) (which is how I always think of it).

And those trees are stunning - we're probably a month away before ours put on their Sunday best here :)

Love the sound of a distant train whistle, anytime, day or night!

Early morning is bliss. No train whistles here - bird song and the purring of insistent cats.
I love the blossom trees - and Happy Birthday to Jack.

I envy you the pink clouds, i'm getting tired of awaiting the blossoms here- What a lucky son to have such a mother- I don't remember feeling so positive when mine were that age-
Good you have that quiet time- here will start getting alot louder all day soon as the summer population fills in. i get mine before I sleep-

All the bloominess seems to be a little late this year.

Love the 5am hour. :)

Me, too - we are kindred spirits, I think.

Granny Annie -

Kind of, but I was late for my walk with Laura.

Just emailed you about the journey.

Riot Kitty -

I know that early morning resistance all too well. last week I couldn't find my coffee cream.... found it the next morning up in the cupboard next to the coffee can, instead of in the fridge. And no -- I didn't open it for a whiff, just chucked it immediately.

I love the early mornings too. I wake up at about 4.00am and love the silence in the house before everyone else wakes up.
