Shy kittens, cheery bag and a lovely rain

- The back door area of the antique shop I love to stop in at after my walks at the Greenway park on the weekend.  Some startled kittens retreated to the shadows as I drove up, lowered my car window and snapped the photo.  If you click to enlarge, you can just see the orange kitten's face to the left of the white pot.

- When I downloaded this photo, I named it "cheery bag" - purchased last night at Whole Foods, because I forgot to bring one I had already.  It is made from 100% recycled plastic and only cost $.99.  How about that?

- For a bit of realism, this is my home computer desktop as it looked when I booted up my computer at 5am.  I noted the weather icon telling me it was raining and as the coffee brewed, I stepped outside to my covered front door (as is my custom) to see a soft, but steady rain falling.  I stood there a moment and took it in, just me and the rain.

That backdoor vignette at your little antique store is so inviting. I can't imagine getting into work before 6 a.m. You have a lovely day, my friend. :)

I get to work at 7:30am - that was my home desktop computer screen. I went back and edited that in.

This is a nice and mellow post. I had fun finding the kitten, but did eventually see the cute little orange face.

We've had a few days of sunshine and I've been soaking it up. I must admit, I'm tired of my phone sounding like thunder when I open it:~) However, it's nice that you appreciated the soft rain outside.

It's so calming to visit your site:~)

99 cents at Whole Foods is good.

And you get up at 5?? Very impressive.

It's raining here too.

So your home computer is 52 minutes fast? :) That is the cleanest desktop I have ever seen! Love the kitty ;)

The showers of the past few days have left us...and it's given me time to do some much needed laundry...and surprisingly, get it dry!

Love the pics! :)

Sara -

I am feeling mellow this week. :) I'm glad you found it.

We have had mostly rain this summer, but this was a beautiful, steady rain.

Or if I hit the snooze button too many times, 5:15. :) I like that hour to blog, read blogs, email and facebook before getting ready for work.

They are so cute.

The funniest thing happened with that bag - I asked for the bag with cherries, that was hanging on the wall, along with some other options. The cashier and her helper speak another language and limited English. The helper went over and pointed to the bag with the asparagus and seemed determined that was the "cherry" bag. We finally got it straightened out. So funny!

No - I get up at 5 and noted the rain on the weather icon. I decided to take the photo at 5:52 when I was making my post.

Lee -

Sounds like you hang your laundry outside to dry? I'll bet it smells so good.

Naomi -

Thank you - I love that photo, too. It's the white pot, not post. You can just see a tiny orange kitty face to the left of the white pot if you enlarge the photo. It's hard to see though - you might just have to trust me on this one. :)

We're sharing the rain : )
I love the brickwork and architecture of the antique shop's building. They've kept it so nice.

We have two orange Tom cats in our area but I have yet to get any orange kittens.

Ron had a tattoo of cherries on his leg. I'll not tell you what was scripted on the tattoo:)

If we don't have rain today it means I will begin my mowing adventure that is becoming very past due.

We had some of that soft, easy rain last night. So soothing to fall asleep to that shushing sound as it slips through the leaves. :)

That stretch of building is original to tiny downtown Lilburn. I'm sure it dates back to the late 1800s. It's lovely.

Granny Annie -

Now I want to know what the tattoo said! I do remember he was in the Navy, and sailors are famous for their tattoos. :)

Good luck on all that mowing!

I'm glad you are finding some peace this week.
