Front porch view, joyous running and mama cat

- Neighbor Rhonda put a hummingbird feeder out front so we could all enjoy them.  She was sitting in a chair out there Sunday morning when she spotted the first visitor, who then came over and had a look at her.  She says it hovered there for a moment as if to say, "thank you."

- I wish this photo could capture the all out exuberant running of the young man pictured above.  He threw up his hand with a smile as he passed me.  We looked like the tortoise and the hare, except in this case the tortoise never caught up.  :)

- At the antiques shop near the park, the owner was cooing at something through the window to the back porch.  It was mama cat and her brood.  I love the sleepy eyed look she gave us as she nursed her babies.  The owner brings them all in at night, to protect them.

I'm sure it will be so fun to see all the birds that stop by the bird feeder during these warm months!

A hummingbird scout actually showed up here in the middle of one of our mixed up winter sessions. I was shocked to see the little fellow while snow was on the ground.

I want to run. I cannot because of my heart but somehow when I am out for a walk, a part of me wants to break out in a dead run.

Mama David is still keeping her kittens and Olive's in the chicken house but hopefully they will be big enough soon to bring out in the grass and sunshine. She too is very sleepy eyed since she has custody of all the new kittens.

Awww. A post to make my heart melt, and soar, and sing. And to turn my greedy eyes a little green on the hummingbird front.

The Momma Cat is so sweet.....It's that time of year, isn't it----lots of new life----even that runner!

A joy-filled post, Lynn. Oh, I can't wait to see the hummingbirds in the bee balm. They ignore my hummingbird feeder completely. But that is months away yet...sigh. Nice to know they are grateful. :)

I adore baby kittens...their little "mews" are so sweet.

I adore hummingbirds. It's so cool the hummingbird hovered as to thank Rhonda. I like that very much.

We need to put up our feeder, but the rain has made it challenging. This weekend it will be up.

I adore WALKING...and much prefer to the tortoise than the hare:~)

Stay safe and warm. I know your weather has probably challenging. We are thinking about building an ARK soon:~)

Lynn! Isn't it funny how the hummingbirds 'check you out?' Yesterday my husband called me to see two that are coming to our feeder (even in the rain.) They are very spooked by new people and used to *just* him sitting there. So, I sat down and waited...and waited. Finally after almost 5 minutes the larger one came back. When it finished it did a side maneuver and came right up to the window (about 2 feet away) and hovered at my eye level staring right at me in the face...as if to say "Well! who are you!!?"

Okay, my dear, I now realize I just left a comment for this post on your previous post, with the Easter and church photos. My computer is acting really wacky today, jumping all over! (But it's possibly user error too.) :)

Wow a cat and kittens at an antique shop, how cool!! Reminds me that almost 2 years ago now 4 kittens were born in the place I now have my eBay storage in, the area I see off to the left of this desk I write this comment from. :)

I love hummingbirds. I see them when we are in AZ, but I've never managed to photograph one as they move too fast!

What a cute cat.
