- The luxurious feeling of watching a movie on a beautiful spring Saturday morning. My walking buddies were both out of town and the pollen count was extremely high, so staying in felt justified (and luxurious.) :) The cardinal there on the railing came to visit, first landing in the terracotta pot, then hopping on the railing. He was probably seeing his own reflection in the glass, but it looked for all the world as if he was looking at me. (Click to enlarge.)
- The end result of all the pollen is worth it though - the trees are madly leafing out.
- A spring rain, that came in on Sunday, and then has settled in on Monday morning, washing away the yellow stuff.

You have a peaceful view. That little red cardinal knows a nice place to visit when he sees one. : )
Staying in to avoid so much tree pollen is definitely healthier for you- I'm jealous of all your plant growth, but lot looking forward to the pollen season. I have a cardinal here this am singing his heart out. They are so pretty. My visitor was MB btw- Rain will be here tonight from your area.
Funny we didn't have a drop of rain this past Saturday, but we swimming in rain today!
What a pretty porch! Our trees here haven't even begun to leaf, yet. In fact, I just started seeing crocuses a week or so ago, which is the latest ever, even for here.
So glad you got the cleansing rain, Lynn. I can't wait to see that gorgeous green around here!

As soon as the pollen leaves us, I'll be out on that porch a lot. And thank you...

Nice visitor! And may the rain coming your way wash away the last bit of winter.

I thought they had predicted that for Friday. Just a few drops - enough to make the pollen seem worse. :)

Thank you and yay for crocuses! Definitely a sign of spring.

You'll see it before you know it.
That sounds like bliss to me - and I love your visitor too.
It would appear your little Cardinal has befriended you....the sweet little creature.
Fortunately, I don't have any allergies and have never suffered from hay fever. I'm glad the rain eased your symptoms, Lynn. Take care. :)
That's one of the nicest decks in the world to watch the leafing from, Lynn!
And a Saturday morning movie sounds like heaven! I'd do that every Saturday if I could. Actually, every day of the week for that sounds good to me! Coffee and some great movie.

I must totally use "madly leafing" in a sentence!!

I threw caution to the wind and walked in the pollen last week - I survived OK.
