So funny, recycling and it's my hobby

- Get it???  This cracked me up!  I spotted this cartoon by Bec Hill on facebook - posted by another cat appreciator.

- Making vegetable soup from the broth I saved when I cooked these greens.  I told coworker Bobby how good that broth smelled when I thawed it out, heated it up and started adding stuff to it.  It's for lunch all week.

- I was having a chat at a cocktail party with a woman I know just a little from church.  She told me about her new hobby since retirement, making pottery.  She clearly loves it.  She asked if I have any hobbies and at first I said I really don't, but then caught myself and said, "blogging."  "Blogging?  What about?"  I told her briefly about my format and as an example, used her as a possible "good thing" - saying I might blog about how "my friend's purplish blue beads sparkle in the lamp light."  So there's my third good thing.  :)

I love the catholic cartoon. Count me in.

And did she ask to read your blog? As soon as I tell people I have a blog, they want to read it, and I don't want them to! Ha.

I've seen the cartoon on Pinterest, it is funny. :D

Definitely a Cat-holic here Six beauties and two go to the vet today for neutering.

I made another huge batch of cabbage soup yesterday. It is yummy and helps me lose weight.

You will have to let us know if your new friend turns to blogging.

It took me a minute and then I got it! Funny! : )
Hobbies lurk in the most unlikely places. I'll bet we have more hobbies than we realize.

Riot Kitty -

Yes - I should have run for my phone to photograph her necklace!

That cartoon was so funny to me.

Joe -

Dinner was called so I didn't have to deal with the blog permission. I don't like to give it to people I know. My family has no idea I have a blog. Friend Leisa found it on her own with some good detective work, but I don't mind her having it. We don't see each other that often so she says that's how she keeps up with me. :)

Granny Annie -

All at once? How do you get them all there???

I looked up the cabbage soup and made a note of it in my Pepperplate account. I'll try that sometime - I'm all about low cal and delicious.

Joanne -

Me, too. :)

Elephant's Child -

I'm with you all the way on those things!

Sandee -

I love purple, too.

Lee -

You're right - I could say cooking yummy things is a hobby. It's different than day to day cooking.

Across the nuns
The cat ran tale ablaze
For in the candles
It seem to have stray

On it’s tale the soup
We gladly tossed
Before the whole
Church was loosed

My friends all
Of them I’d blogged
Before I wrote it
Down in the perish log

Blogging is totally a hobby, and very creative the way you do it!

Cat-a-holic here too, one sleeping at my side as I type this.

Wow, I think pottery might actually be the 180-degree opposite of blogging, at least in terms of how much gear you need to accomplish it, and how messy it gets. I took a pottery course once, but I'm kind of fussy about getting my hands dirty... so obviously it wasn't the hobby for me!

That's a good one! :)

I've really been slack of late...I've missed this post, too, until now. I'll have to continue doing that when driving, but not when commenting on your posts!
