Belated milestone, stormy weather and workout

- You only need a heart full of grace, a soul generated by love... From the I Have a Dream speech, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This photo was from a couple of weeks ago and was meant to post yesterday. The sign borders the King Center in Atlanta just next to Freedom Parkway.

- Posting late today due to a power outage that lasted all night. Big storms! The battery operated alarm clock kicked in and there were new batteries in the flashlight. I always feel so fortunate that I have a natural gas hot water heater when this kind of thing happens so that the shower is hot. And happy that no one fainted when I came in to work with no makeup. :) Oh it's on now though.

- Pleasantly sore from my Kristi Yamaguchi Power Workout session from a recently purchased dvd. My second most favorite part was when the trainer yelled out "Yamaguchi, Yamaguchi, Yamaguchi, Yamaguchi!" for Kristi to do her signature move. My most favorite part was when it was all over. :)

The end of the workout is always my favorite part, too. And, I NEVER wear makeup to work. I really don't like my coworkers. haha

We had power outages here in NC too, Lynn. So (very) glad that you had hot h20 though! There is nothing like a cold shower to make a girl s-c-r-e-a-m!!
:)

I love that sculpture. What a neat photo!

Sorry about the power outtage. Definitely a bonus to have gas-heated water. I'd rather go without make-up than a hot shower :)

I bet my favorite part would be when it's over, too!

The power is out
no time to play
a storm went through
and took it away

Working off my buns
will they said it would
I made me more tired
than I thought it could

Yes, as a couple others mention -- always SO great when the exercise is over. I'd love to do the dvd with you!

I'd rather go without a shower than make-up, tho other humans may not be so thrilled with me.

Power, eh? Nice thing to have!

If I had a workout session like that, and yelled part of my last name, it would be, "Mad, Mad, Mad!" Apt, I suppose.

I looked for you this morning and you weren't there yet. Now I know why!

I've been walking, but I felt a new kind of sore today after that workout. :)

My sister's power is out still down in north Florida. Mine came back on around 5pm today.

lol on the screaming. :)

Thank you - I cropped it a little. Yes - the hot water is a must.

Mama Zen -

I feel motivated to keep it at now.

Ellis -

lol! I like it. :)

Jannie -

You would be great fun to exercise with, I think.

Riot Kitty -

lol! Not so apt though. :)

The power outtages don't happen much here since we have underground power lines - not sure what happened still. Lots of trees down and power lines though, I hear.

I need to get back wuth the program and do a power workout...sounds tough but rewarding.

Glad you got your power back. We had crazy wind and rain creep up out of nowhere this afternoon and it was a scary drive home...but it was good to be indoors afterwards, safe and dry!

Hope you have a sun-shiny day tomorrow! :)

I've never heard of the Kristy Yamaguchi workout, but I'm with you, the best part of any workout is when it'ss all over.

I was so sore yesterday from that - actually still sore. I'm trying to mix it up and do other types of exercise, too.

The weather everywhere sounds so crazy right now.

Sandra -

Welcome! And I got sucked into the Kristi Yamaguchi workout dvd purchase by the promise that I would look like her - very lean. We'll see. :)

Great MLK design! Saw those storms on the news- largest amount of severe weather in over 10 years! Alot of nasty torn-up pics on the news--
I'm sure you're beautiful without make-up too! I never wear it to work.
I remember Kristi Yamaguchi at the olympics so long ago- Brave of you to try such a vigorous core workout- I think good music is key to those.

I really just like to walk outside, but the pollen count is in the extremely high range right now. So that's how I ended up exercising with Kristi. :)

With summer taking a firm grip back here, power outages will increase, first once a day, lasting an hour or so, then maybe twice a day.

Anil P -

That's terrible - I know I shouldn't complain, because it doesn't happen to us often.
