Clippings, chocolate fortune and empowering

- Someone brought in clippings of blossoms from their cherry tree and azalea bush at home to brighten up the office. So pretty.

- From the inside wrapper of a tasty Dove dark chocolate square: "The more you praise and celebrate your life, the more there is in life to celebrate." Better than a fortune cookie. :)

- Calling a neighbor from my volunteer organization after work to find that the power came back on in the neighborhood around 5pm. The volunteer coordinator says there is something so empowering about the electric power returning, isn't it? I agree, but was considering staying in a hotel last night if it hadn't and was a little disappointed to not have that adventure. :)

Tree blossoms brought inside
Is sun shine in a vase
Party on and eat a chocolate square
Power off, power on, power off. Who is playing with the lights.

Lynn,

The flowers are very pretty. It's nice to bring Spring inside the office:~)

I didn't know that Dove chocolate squared have sayings in them. I agree I would theirs better than fortune cookies!!

One thing I hate are the storms we get in the South in Spring and Summer. We didn't lose electricity in this latest one, but it was loud:~) While the adventure would have been nice; cleaning our the fridge might not have been.

Happy day to you:~)

Lovely blooms! I'm so glad the power came back up for you.

What sweet messages in the chocolate (no pun intended!) :)

Oooo, a hotel! Room service and all that. Still, I'm glad your power came back on. Did you lose any food in your fridge and freezer??

Your office is SO nice, I really like that lantern outside the door.

Dove Chocolate is a gift in so many ways.
(as are YOU!)

It's like someone was playing with the lights. Mother Nature, I guess. :)

I do like romantic things, so maybe we'll just consider this a romantic post. :)

Sara -

My sister, who lives in Jefferson County, still didn't have power last night - but they have a generator since they have a farm and it had kicked in. She had daughter and friends there as a result.

Sometimes they are dorky, but I always read the Dove message. Love that pun!

Jannie -

Yes - I lost my freezer stuff, but there wasn't much of that in there. It's all good.

You are so sweet to say that!

xoxo

I like clippng blossoms for the indoors. Still none outdoors here. Great wrapper to discover! Cool saying- Glad the power came back on- Here it was a big day across the country for storm damge!
It's no fun when the food goes bad at these prices either!
I just use candles n read n play the instruments at power out-

Riot Kitty -

The cherry trees have been so gorgeous - now the dogwood trees are starting to bloom.

Snaggle -

I wish I was musically talented - that would be a great way to pass the time during a power outage.
