- An unedited photo of a portion of the Atlanta Water Works - shot from the car window. There is lots more sparkling water and a beautiful park there, too. I'd have straightened and cropped that photo a bit, but my slow computer didn't cooperate this morning. Life is often not perfect though, so there you are.
- I was on my way from work to my volunteer organization. The volunteer coordinator pokes her head into the room in which I am bent over a publication, reading an article before I get started. She asks, "Are you crying?" Startled - I tell her I seldom cry. But that's not true - I'm a crying fool over sentimental stuff, like sad movies or when someone I like gets voted off Dancing with the Stars. :)
- Facebook friend Marybeth posts this last night: MBA "is not totally embarrassed that after a tough day at the office and a workout, she enjoys watching slightly trashy reality TV shows as an escape ! What's your guilty pleasure?" I have a feeling she is talking about American Idol and she already knows that I am devoted to that dancing show.

I am a little confused on a couple of these issues but I can relate to the crying part. A friend once said about me: "It only takes a warm handshake to make Ann cry."
So, who got kicked off last night. I had to turn it off just after Kendra was safe. It's the Stanley Cup playoffs, donchaknow.
We have water works here today...rain, rain and rain!
Have a good day Lynn and I hope that there is no cause for 'waterworks' in your office!

My waterworks is set off by the same sorts of things - sentimental moments get mine gushing!
I often find that big things happen that should make me cry, and then something completely trivial will happen, that sets me off.
I ain't too proud to cry.
I do not watch Dancing With The Stars, but the times I have watched Idol towards the Finales I've cried at the ones leaving -- they do such moving montages of their journeys -- how can one not cry??
And you make me smile -- you are SO like me as to wanting to crop and straighten photos. But that's a good thing -- it's the artist in us coming out!
Hey -- have you ever had Ghiradelli's caramel filled squares, and do you like them??

Granny Annie -
You are a kindred spirit then. :) Sorry to be confusing - I make recordings for the blind and was in a booth reading something through I intended to record and she saw me through the window and thought my body language suggested crying. But I was just readin'. :)

That handsome wrestler was kicked off. Ah - hockey. More of a fan of in person games. :)

Oh we are expecting big storms tonight - I just plugged in my weather radio next to the bed. Of course they are hitting between 11pm and 2am. Tornado warnings expected. Hope y'all are OK up there.

I could see that - another kindred spirit.

I know - I'm the same way.

Yes - I do like that candy - I haven't met too much chocolate I don't like. :)

My guilt pleasures have tamed over the year--right now it's ice cream!
Life is often not perfect though, so there you are.
*Great quote!*
The photo is true
from your car view
A tear you shed
but not all the time
for silly things
at silly times
Ones trashy idem
is another’s joy
but dancing and Idol
I deplor
Looks like a pretty view n sky too. Sometimes I decide not to straighten also- Hope your computer goes back to working ok soon- mine is very finniky too!
I have dry eyes, n it really hurts to cry, but I do sometimes.
I do need that tv fix to unwind sometimes. I like series n movies, seen mostly on dvd these days.
This week watching "FireFly" again.

Thank you for my poem - and no dancing or idol for you? :)

I'll have to look up FireFly on Netflix. I just got Black Swan in the mail - I'll probably watch it on Saturday a.m.
