Farming, good morning message and this weekend

- Niece Amanda's view of her boyfriend's cotton fields in the southern tip of Georgia.  I love that she is dating a farmer!  He grows peanuts and soybeans, too.

- I love seeing childhood friend Ralph's good morning message on facebook each morning.  This morning:  "Good Friday morning!  Coffee, omelet, anybody?  I hope you have a good one and go ahead and throw some fun in there, too, while you are at it!"  Always so cheerful.

- Gearing up for the Stone Mountain Highland games.  I was captured asked to be the commissioner for the state of Georgia a few years ago for my Scottish Clan, which pretty much means I am tent hostess for this one event.  :)  I do look forward to seeing old friends and "family" members this weekend and will buy candy to put in a basket for all visiting kids this afternoon.

I hope you all have a stellar weekend - it's supposed to be beautiful weather here.   I hope your weather is beautiful, too.

Since when does a farmer have time to date anyone?

Definitely an eye opening morning greeting from your friend Ralph.

Never a dull moment in your life is there?

Gosh you are a busy gal. And you are going to be or are from the Highlands! Good Morning!

It's beautiful weather here, too. And for me, it's the Oyster Festival. Gotta love southern Maryland for oysters. At first I thought your title said morning massage. And I was SO jealous. I'm a little jealous of that sweet morning message, but not as much as I'd be for a morning massage. Have a wonderful weekend. :)

The weather is incredibly beautiful in Toronto today. The temperature is perfect, the trees all turned golden or peachy within the past week, and the sky is radically blue.

A tent hostess! You'll have to post about that. Weather here is pretty rainy and miserable (probably like it is in Scotland, come to think of it. BTW, we're part Scots, too.)

Have a wonderful weekend. And yes, I also want to know about the duties associated with being a tent hostess. Plus pictures. Please? Pretty please?

Sounds like a prosperous farm Amanda's beau has going there. N over the state line too!
Some people like Ralph have the "Cheer-up everyone" gift. I'm usually a morning grumbler... That's when I want to sleep!
Have fun at your clan gathering at the Games week-end! Good of you to keep up the candy dish. Bet all those children have gotten so much bigger- n will always remember you.

Granny Annie -

I love the story of how they met: she is the office manager for a large quail hunting plantation. He leases land from the plantation for his crops. She broke up with her 10 year relationship - a boyfriend she had had since high school. He came by to pay in person (as he always did so he could gaze upon her) and asked her out (having learned elsewhere of the break up.) This was late fall last year. He came to visit on Christmas Day so he could be introduced to my mom and me. I'm so glad he got to meet her. He fits in perfectly. And they are both entrenched in the life down there (think Garden & Gun magazine), so they together a lot after work.

I always look forward to seeing Ralph's facebook message. Here's the one from this morning : "Good morning! The coffee sure is good! Well it's here, fetch my gun honey, i hear a deer coming!"

So many dull moments in my life - you just hear about the exciting ones. :)

Sandie -

I have Scottish ancestry from my father and Welsh from my mother - so I'm a UK kind of gal. :)

A morning massage. Hmmm. Must make that happen.

Have fun at the Oyster Festival! Yum. Roasted oysters, I'm thinking.

Sparkling Red -

I'm so glad you have beautiful weather - that's lovely. A bit nippy here this a.m.

Riot Kitty -

You know there's a post coming Monday...

I was so lucky to be in a run of good weather when I was in Scotland one beautiful June, a few years back.

The Elephant's Child -

Pretty much greeting visitors to the tent and chatting with people who sit in the tent all day. Must look for that crossword puzzle book before I go over there this a.m.

Snaggle -

I don't think he's getting rich, but he seems to be doing OK. :)

Hilary -

I'm so looking forward to it.

Betty -

Good morning! You were just here! You have a great weekend, too. Big hugs back!

Gotta love Facebook friends that can put a smile on your face early enough in the day to make your day.

Beautiful photo...and I love those positive messages on FB as well. They don't happen as often as they used to but when they're there, they brighten any moment.

Joanne -

They are - I love to see them.

Sage -

I guess I was lucky when I visited Scotland - it was glorious blue sky weather all that week.

G -

True.

Scarlet -

Ralph is such a cheerful guy and loves his friends, so he shares his cheerfulness.

Wow I've never seen a cotton field like that before.

I wonder what it would be like dating a farmer? I can't belive how bad my younger daughter smells after a day horse riding. :D
