Pretty salad, French tunes and a rainy night in Georgia

- Mediterranean couscous salad, before mixing.  So pretty with the flat leaf parsley and feta cheese on top.  I made this for a church luncheon last week and had enough ingredients to make it for myself yesterday morning.  Recipe is here. - I always want to blog about this salad.  :)

- Listening to the soundtrack to the film "French Kiss" while puttering around in the kitchen.  It makes me feel as if I'm at a French cafe.

- A steady, drippy rain, that lasts into the evening.  Perfect for a Sunday afternoon and evening.

I am positive I will like this recipe. Thanks for sharing it!
French Kiss with Meg Ryan, right? I'll have to check out the soundtrack. I do recall something about her eating cheese...ha,ha,ha.

That salad looks good though I am pretty certain we don't have the dressing you used here. Tomato, olive and fetta are a recipe made in heaven. Later in the season I will assuredly make a version of this. I think I will use basil rather than parsley (or perhaps as well as). I am envious of your rain. Doesn't it make everything smell so much better?

I think I would make that salad just so I could say "couscous".

A French cafe on a rainy Sunday afternoon. Great world in your mind.

The music and the rain sound as delicious as the salad!

The salad looked great - I haven't made that in such a long time - good idea. And it is a raining day in Georgia now too.

We've just started eating more couscous. Thanks for the delicious recipe. This and music on a rainy Sunday sound heavenly. :)

Leonora -

It's lunchtime and I'm having some right now. It's so much better the next day.

The Elephant's Child -

An internet search yields directions for replicating that dressing mix. Yes - it's delicious.

Rain does make everything smell washed clean.

Granny Annie -

It's fun to say, isn't it?

I hope I get to go to Paris someday.

I love that soundtrack - I forgot to respond to Leonora about the soundtrack - that's the one. Love that movie.

Sandie -

Yes - I'm about to have to get in it.

happygirl -

Let me know if you make it. And yes - two of my favorite things - rain and music.

We're getting lots of rain here today, but no "French Kiss." ;) Is that the Meg Ryan/Kevin Kline movie? If so, I love it! The soundtrack must be relaxing.

As for that salad, I bought it at the fresh market (almost wrote "French" market...I wish). Good stuff! I'll have to check out the recipe. It looks great in your picture, btw.

LOVE a steady dripping rain.

LOVE that movie, and any meg Ryan is in.

Yes, on making couscous just to say its name out loud. Kind of like vichychoise (sorry, wrong spelling on the latter, obviously.)

Sage -

It was so beautiful before mixing that I had to photograph it.

Scarlet -

Hey - saw your post on facebook about it. I'm glad you found it.

Jannie -

All things I love, too. Meg Ryan in Sleepless in Seattle and You've Got Mail - loved them, too.

Hope you are doing well.

Your salad does take a pretty pic with the parsley n feta on top. A healthy take on Pasta salad. I haven't seen that film, but can imagine French music to cook by. It's good when you don't have to travel in the rain, n can relax-
Was another busy work week-end for me. Hope your work week goes well!

I love rain like that!

Too bad you don't live closer, or I would join your church and invite myself to your house for dinner! Nom!

Snaggle -

I have the TV on way too much and try to turn it off and listen to music - especially when there's cooking time involved.

Hope you get a day off soon!

Mama Zen -

Me, too. :)

Riot Kitty -

I know - you would be welcome at both places. The remainder of the salad is for lunch today.
