Vintage bouquet, overlooking and warming up a little

- This bouquet was called a "vintage" bouquet - not sure why.  I love purple and blue together, so I was hooked.

- Beautiful fall color on these trees overlooking the empty parking lot of my church.  I was there for a quick meeting with just one other person, and while I waited, had this beauty to keep me company.

- Temperatures in the 40s this morning and not 20s and 30s.  :)

It's been a long week, but it's FRIDAY!!!!  Could I be more excited?  I don't think so.  :)  I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and that good things happen to you.

The bouquets are lovely, both the flowers and the bouquets of trees. This is a wonderful time to be surrounded by beautiful color.

For some reason I know your weekend will be spectacular.

Vintage or not, it is super pretty!!

I'm laughing because it makes it sound like this particular bouquet has survived generations. :) Someone is always calling one particular plant or bloom old-fashioned...apparently flowers have cycles of popularity as much as hemlines do.

That bouquet is lovely. Way to brighten a day. Have a beautiful weekend, Lynn!

Gorgeous colours. Like Talon I believe it is a vintage bouquet because the flowers are not currently fashionable. (Which strikes me as silly.)
Have a wonderful weekend.

Granny Annie -

It really is a wonderful time of year - I love fall and don't really even mind the cold.

I'll make it spectacular. :) I have no plans except for breakfast out tomorrow, a holiday open house at the antique store with the cat, and church on Sunday. But six episodes of Homeland are coming in the mail today! So I'll watch that. And I'm going to make soup sometime or other.

Joanne -

I think so, too!

Talon -

I know. I have to say that the hydrangea is already dead. I'll going to pick up some other flowers to substitute for it, because the remaining ones are fine.

Hilary -

Yes - I hear that it was 5 degrees F on Wednesday in the UK.

Cheers to you!

Elephant's Child -

I never go for fashionable things, so that works for me. (But I agree that it is silly.)

I love those flowers. Remember them from a neighbor's house when I was young.
Thanks for the trees, as well.

Wow. Those trees are gorgeous! Ours haven't been that pretty, but then it's still warm here. We had a few cold days, but were back up in the temperatures.

As the weekend is passed, all I can say is I hope you had a very nice one:~)
