- Neighbor dog Cali (who is my buddy), happily carries sticks around in her mouth and always carefully leaves them around her front door when she goes inside. So yesterday, when I found one in my pot of dirt that is waiting for something to be planted, it seems like a nice reminder or a gift - either way, it made me smile.
- Friend Mary, who had her daughter Isabella rather late in life, is the most fun mom I know. Yesterday her April Fools joke on her six-year-old was this: "Her bowl of cereal looked like every other bowl of cereal until she tried to dig in. Frozen solid. She tried not to laugh but ..."

Animals have a wonderful knack at making us smile...so do beautiful flowers. :)
April Fools Day is a favorite for me but my family is totally on guard all day. Thankfully I managed to pull a good one on unsuspecting neighbors. I won't go into detail but it was great.
A few years ago I told a tale about the people who had a chocolate lab that carried around turtles. He didn't' hurt them, just carried one around all the time.
And guess what, finally there are daffodils blooming at the corner of our property. Woohoo!!!
Love the lenten roses. And the frozen cereal reminded me of my mother carefully putting an empty egg shell upside down in my father's egg cup...

You made me laugh with the frozen cereal. That's a funny April Fool's joke.
I loved the stuff about the dog. Aggie, my cat, brings me her toys. I find them left on the bed or by the bed. Oddly, they aren't her favorite toys. I sometimes think she's telling me "hey, I don't like these,you can have them back."
My roses are blooming now, but I've never seen Lenten roses. I wonder if they grow here, as well?
