Pumpkin view, wandering no more and fall weather

- The weather in the metropolitan Atlanta area is still warmish.  I'm still clinging to my open toed slide on sandals.  But this scene in front of my favorite antiques shop just says fall to me, even with the remnants of July 4th in view.

- Loved this sign on the door.  I asked about the wandering shop kitty Mr. Whiskers, who has been moved to the residence upstairs.  She says he is loving the recently built upstairs porch and was basking in the sun there on this morning.

- October is usually my favorite month, but I'm still waiting for some crisp weather.  It's raining here this morning and I'm mindful of the bad weather in other parts of the country yesterday and today, so no complaints here!

I would wear my sandals still but they would become water logged. Hope Mr. Whiskers will still visit the store. So much rain here that my satellite internet has been out. Thankfully I have had a lifeline in my Galaxy GS5 cell phone. Can do a lot but not as much as I usually do on my laptop and desktop.

Hi Lynn - I'd definitely be wearing sandals still - if it was practical .. it's not!!

Lovely shots and Autumn has arrived ...

Cheers Hilary

I only wear flip flops in the house here. This week began in the lower 40's so broke out a jacket n heat- but now it's warm again. Fun signs. Hope you get to see Mr Whiskers again soon.
Hope those storm probs have steered clear - saw some of it on the news in your state.

That place does look like fall in full swing. You live in such a quaint little town. Love your pics!

Happy day to you, Lynn.

That's a wonderful sign.

Like Whiskers, if Aggie has a choice between basking in the sun and any other activity, she almost always chooses the sunshine:~)

I know what you mean about the weather. We've had a few chilly mornings, but it gets hot by afternoon. I see touches of fall in the trees, but still have lots of blooming plants.

But winter must be near because the squirrels are very active. Even though we have moderate winters, I watch them carrying acorns across the yard and then burying them. I also wonder how they find them again:~)

It's definitely been abnormally warm here as well, with temps in the mid 60's.

October is also my favorite month, and it's been strange weather - in the 40s and 50s in the a.m., but super out of season warm in the daytime. Meh.

I have been really enjoying the mild weather we've been having in the UK, it makes winter seem a little shorter somehow, but the weather is changing now, so it's a good time to get all my jackets out.
