Companion, sharing and unexpected

- I love this photo of Sophie wrapped up in a throw that had fallen on the floor. It reminds me somehow of when Bugs Bunny used to wrap a scarf around his head to disguise himself as a woman. Sophie is a good and faithful companion and her only fault is making me get up early to get her food as usual on my day off.

- A sweet friend calls to say she wants to share some soup with me that she has just made. It is carrot soup - something that Bugs and Blue Bunny might like. :)

- An unexpected package comes in the mail - my sister has my favorite little shop in Milledgeville, The Red Door, send me two bottles of the wonderful local lotion they sell made of Goat's milk. Owner Susan says she can hardly keep the lotion, made by Milledgeville Soap Works, in - it is so popular. I love supporting hometown businesses. I buy a bottle of it every time I go in and end up giving it to someone as a little present every time. Jo got my last bottle in her stocking at Christmas - so this was a thoughtful replacement and certainly made for Happy Mail.

I hope you have a wonderful weekend full of unexpected surprises. See you Monday!

Goats and bunnies and cats, oh my!

I laughed remembering Bugs Bunny wrapping up to look like a woman - Sophie does look like that!

Blue Bunny will be completely jealous about the carrot soup!

Have a stupendous weekend, Lynn!

I've never tasted carrot soup. It sounds interesting. Was it delicious?

I do hope you and Sophie have a wonderful weekend. She's so cute in her wrap that I just showed her to a visitor to my home office. Perhaps she'll let you sleep in a bit on Saturday? (If she's like my Booty, not a chance. ;)

Fireblossom -

The soup was mighty fine. :)

Talon -

Sophie puts me in mind of Bugs every time she rolls around in a blanket like that.

Blue Bunny was the first bunny I thought of when I saw that soup.

Joe -

You have a great weekend, too.

Blue Bunny -

Your Jannie is good with the bunny food, for sure. Wish you were here to vacuum and share soup. :)

Meredith -

It was delicious. And thank you for my kitty's compliment - she is pretty cute. :) And no chance about sleeping in - she is relentless with the meowing.

Mama Zen -

Thank you - I love that one, too.

What a sweet picture! I get my soap and lotion from local businesses, too (both women-owned), and they're delightful.

Riot Kitty -

I gave a away one of my lotion bottles to my mom and she was asking just this morning who gave it to her. She loves the smell and the feel of it. I like to put it on my hands before I sleep and my hands feel so soft when I wake up in the morning.

Lynn,
What a fun picture!! Our cat likes to wrap himself into a blanket, too. I think he does it to stay warm around here in the cold winter months!!!

I love surprises in the mail! :) well, good surprises, not surprises that you say, "You owe us $100!"
And cute picture of the kitty. At first I thought the kitty was peeking out of a sleeve.
