Dressed to fit, nothing but a hug and big hair

- Hairdresser and friend Tim's tribute to the New Orleans Saints win in the Super Bowl AND Mardi Gras - which we both love. His traffic-stopping lawn jockey is dressed to fit holidays or fun events.

- Due to recovery instructions for my eye surgery, I am not allowed to shower my head just yet, so Tim offers to salon-wash and dry my hair for me. He doesn't charge anything but a hug. How nice.

- Tim once dated one of my friends, but fortunately our relationship has lasted. We reminisce about the big hair he used to give me in the '80s and he sends me off this day with a slightly scaled-down replica. Committee members at a meeting later do a double-take, but like it.

That is some crazy lawn jockey action - lol! Tim definitely has an eclectic style.

I bet you feel super with the clean hair and the great do! Tim sounds like a great friend and fabulous hairdresser.

The 80s, and big hair, ruled.

"a hug and big hair" - sounds like an Evanovich novel! I love the lawn jockey, and nothing is better than having someone else do your hair!

Isn't it? Around Easter it will have a frilly frock on. Tim and his wife Maxie are fun-loving and quirky like that.

My attitude is so much better with clean hair. :)

I loved the 80s - it did rule. Big hair and shoulder pads!

I love Janet Evanovich's books!!!! Wow - I might have created the title for the next Stephanie Plum book. :)

I was at the hairdressers today. Unlike you I didn't have a "big hair" 80's style, although some people say my hair looks a bit like Billy Idol's so maybe I do!

I'm glad your friendship with Tim has lasted. I wish I got my hair done for free!

I didn't know that was a lawn jockey until reading it. Very creative!
I was happy to see the Saints win. Wish I could be there for Mardi Gras!

What's your hair like today?

I'll bet your hair is very cool. I love Tim and trust me, free this day only. I am due for cut and color soon and will definitely pay.

Mardi Gras was the most fun few days I ever had, I think.

Not as big, but it still looks good. I feel like a hair commercial shaking my professionally dried hair. :)

Isn't it wonderful to have your hair washed at the salon? Almost like a mini-massage if you get someone who knows what they're doing. Tim sounds like he rocks.

Though that lawn jockey is a little scary, I'd definitely do a double-take if I drove by, and I suspect that is the point. ;)

I want a friend like that!

Tim does rock. And he used to specialize in rock and roll hair and beauty queen hair. I just needed him because he knows his way around curl. He used to work in Buckhead salons - different ones, but the last few years has been working out of his home. Works for me - it is in my neighborhood - Lavista / Clairmont Road area.

Riot Kitty -

I'll bet you do have good friends like that.

What a wild tiger coat!
No shower would kill me!
Hope the eye is healing very well!
Tim is one of those "Life-saver" friends!
I'd drive him crazy cause i don't do salons- n just let my locks grow n curl-

My hair has a mind of its own, too. But it behaves perfectly for him. :)
