Visit, Julia and Hawaii

- This drawing of the University of Georgia logo (with a little yellow thrown in) and the real thing by a young man visiting his grandpa at work. His job for the morning was organizing his Poppie's pen drawer.

- Attending a screening of "Julie & Julia" with friend Leisa. If you are a fan of Julia Child at all - you will love it. Meryl Streep makes me forget she's not actually Julia.

- Arranging to meet a favorite client today to approve a printing proof, we run into all sorts of obstacles on the meeting location. Inspired by the subject line of a Delta Air Lines email, I say "let's just meet in Hawaii and call it a day."

I've been thinking I would like to see that movie. Meryl Streep never disappoints!

A budding artist in the making!

Hawaii would definitely hit the spot!

Yes - the email is still unopened: Subject - Delta flights to Hawaii on sale. Sounds sweet to me, too! :)

I think you would love the movie. The food shots alone are glorious. Julia Child was a national treasure.

Mama Zen -

I'll bet it is beautiful in Hawaii right about now. :)

Cathy -

She was great in that movie. Thank you - I will let the budding young artist know!

Meryl Streep makes me forget about almost everything but her when she's on the screen, and always has.

Jannie -

I agree - she is fabulous.

This movie will no doubt spike the sales for Julia Child's cookbook Mastering the Art of French Cooking. I don't see myself as ever wanting to de-bone a duck though. :)

Nice drawing- makes me remember when my Dad used to bring me to work Sat mornings when I was 3 n 4- I used to draw with his colored elec-engineering pencils (red/blue) on the big desk blotter paper pads. That's when I did my first horses...

Meeting in Hawaii can be alot like a break in my production line which I call "a vacation in Tahiti!"

We love encouraging budding artists - sounds like you had a relationship like that at your dad's office.

Meeting in Tahiti - just as good as Hawaii. Or even better! :)
