Another day, good to be home and Jen's wedding

- Niece Amanda's photograph of the lake on the plantation at which she is the office manager in the Florida panhandle that she titled "Just another day in paradise. :)" I am so glad that she loves her job. It is perfect for her.

- Another cold, rainy day in the ATL, but it was lovely to come home to a fire in the fireplace, an easy dinner of a big salad and a Netflix dvd of the series "Moonlight."

- Hearing client Jen's description of her upcoming wedding: a traditional gown (displayed on iphone), no veil and purple shoes. No attendants. She is delightfully unconventional, so I love this peek into what her day will look like.

Purple shoes! I love brides, and weddings.

PS--I just have to come back and sing:

I just want to see you standing in the purple shoes

Purple shoes, purple shoes

(lol Prince is in no danger, I don't think)

That photo does look like paradise.

We have sleet today, and anywhere that's warm and dry looks like paradise to me.

I'm glad Amanda's happy. There's nothing finer than doing a job you love. :)

I love when brides and grooms do the things they really want to on their big day.

lol! I'll be singing that all day now. :)

It is probably nice weather in the panhandle today. But it is miserably hot there in the summer! OMG - the humidity is terrible and they have these biting flies. :)

Talon -

I got a kick out of the purple shoe thing. I like that, too.

lg -

Oh my - you are snowed in again! Maybe there is tennis to watch today? Does that make it better?

That FL photo looks like it could've been taken in my neighborhood. :)

Easy dinners and Netflix movies...sounds perfect!! I'm waiting on "Eat, Pray, Love."

The wedding tradition in my family (my stepmom, me) is blue toenail polish. If my little sister gets married I hope she continues in our footsteps, so to speak!

I actually went to the theater to see Eat Pray Love. It was good, but doesn't follow the book exactly faithfully. I was surprised since it is a memoir.

Riot Kitty -

That's pretty cool - I hope she does. I'll bet she will.

I am always looking for a good series to start on Netflix. Let me know how you like Moonlight.

Granny Annie -

I love the series Moonlight. It was only on for a year - it is about vampires though, so can be gory. :) I like that actor Alex O'Loughlin - he is currently on Hawaii Five-O and so good on Moonlight.

Such a lucky niece- good picture taker too! I can't imagine likeing my job, until I get to do art all day- that is! A cozy home in the bad weather plus good entertainment n yummies is the best! Brides these days have alot of creative ceremony freedom. The phone pics are great for on the spot sharing- Making the invitations?

No - we offered to print her invitations, but she didn't want that. Certainly OK. :)

In a perfect world, everyone would love their job...
