Life is a song, interesting client and good things

- Discovering an item purchased from a mountain vendor last October, but forgotten until I ran across it in a drawer this week. I like the stickers on the box and the message on one of them, "Life is a Song...Sing It." Indeed.

- Funniest moment of the week: a printing client sits in the conference room with me and tells of his dream business card, prefacing that with, "Have you ever seen the film American Psycho?" Hmmm, no, but it is in my Netflix queue now. :) Apparently it has a theme of "business card envy" running through it.

- Favorite facebook status update of the week, from home town school friend Ralph: "Rain on the tin roof, chicken on the grill, sitting in front of a big roaring fire listening to some good music. It's a good day to be at the shack." This is the kind of thing I like to see on facebook, good things happening.

I love that little package!

Isn't "American Psycho" based on the Bret Easton Ellis book? If so, it's about a sociopathic serial killer with a trendy facade. Sure you want to watch that?

Chicken cooked upon the grill
as smoke rose up high
rain beat upon the roof
as music played inside

a gift bought long a go
that I just now found
I saw a sticker on the box
"Life is a Song Sing it."
This I'll pass around

A client needs a business card
that is not strange it seems
with the theme of American Psycho
I hope about it I don't dream

Me, too - it was fun to discover it again. I mainly bought it because that woman didn't have any browsers at her booth and of course, I liked the blue and white charm.

Yes - I do. I tend to like some edgy films in the mix. It probably wouldn't end up on my Blogger profile as a favorite, but I do want to see it now. Right now at home from Netflix: Disc 2 of the Moonlight TV series that is about a vampire with scruples and the film Inception.

Ellis -

Dream about the rain on the roof, not American Psycho. :) Thank you for my poem!

Dearest Lynn, I did NOT like American Psycho. Yukky, yukky. (For me, anyway.)

Pretty-pretty shiny in box. Jannie likes!

And I'll be singing later. Allergy voice now. Needs to be warmed up. Cedar pollen is out and about.

That scene in American Psycho is BRILLIANT! It's one of my husband's favourite movies, so I've seen it several times. It's disturbing, but compelling.

Beautiful box and necklace...I'd see American Psycho only to see Christian Bale mostly naked ;)

Other Lynn! I like it that you come by. :)

Talon -

I thought so, too.

Jannie -

I hope you feel better, my friend. xo

Sage -

Doesn't he? Such a nice guy. The shack he is referring to is some sort of hunting and fishing cabin.

Sparkling Red -

I love good film making and have to see that now - especially since there is a printing reference. :)

RK -

Wow - now that is really intriguing.

I researched the Life is a song quote- it's in here:

Life is an opportunity, benefit from it.
Life is beauty, admire it.
Life is bliss, taste it.
Life is a dream, realize it.
Life is a challenge, meet it.
Life is a duty, complete it.
Life is a game, play it.
Life is a promise, fulfill it.
Life is sorrow, overcome it.
Life is a song, sing it.
Life is a struggle, accept it.
Life is a tragedy, confront it.
Life is an adventure, dare it.
Life is luck, make it.
Life is too precious, do not destroy it.
Life is life, fight for it.

I've made a few folks card on my machine- That's fun. Psycho, not so much! Being excited about enjoying hometime os always good! Wish I was warm enough to grill here!

- I still can't believe Mother Teresa said that!

That would be so cool if she did say that. I like it and thank you for sharing.

No - I don't think the American Psycho film would qualify as a good thing, I just thought it was just so unexpected that I thought it was funny.
