- The Madison-Morgan Cultural Center always has flower arrangements like this around - my favorite kind of loose arrangement that creates a kind of happy profusion of flowers.
- Taking a baby gift to a favorite client and getting to see the soon-to-arrive baby's room. The initial sonogram suggested a boy, but for some reason the baby changed to a girl later. So the yellow and green room now has a few touches of pink thrown in.
- She works at home and her dog Scout LOVES me and gets so excited when I visit. I found out that he loves the UPS man, too, so I don't feel too flattered. She and her husband taught him a trick - walking through their legs from behind. The first time I went there and he walked through my legs, I almost fell over in (amused) astonishment. Now he takes great delight in displaying his trick each time I visit. :)

The flowers are grand
Around them books stand
And a baby’s going to and fro
The dog loves me
A UPS men and a tree
And through my legs likes to go
So the dog plays games
This poems kind of lame
And my brain’s running really slow

I think it captures my post perfectly. Especially the baby going to and fro. :)
I 'want' 'that' arrangement! It's gorgeous Lynn! Good description also; a "happy profusion of flowers..." as well; hope you're having a great day Miss Lynn!
lg!
What a funny dog trick! I'd have been surprised, as well. Maybe you and the UPS man share more than you realize, and that puppy is just a great judge of character. :)
Ah, baby, taking her time to make up her mind. ;) My parents were told my sis was a boy and knew no different up until the day of her birth -- but that was early days of reading sonograms. Usually nowadays they get it right.
Happy profusion of flowers is a great sentence!
I love those sorts of arrangements for two reasons - they look lovely and I can't make a formal arrangement to save my life :)
Scout has exquisite taste in people. Dogs are very discerning animals - Charlie told me so!
I suppose the new baby will learn the same party piece and be walking through your legs from behind too?
Do you have shinny shoes? The UPS man always has shinny shoes, maybe that's the connection? Or the brown uniform. ;)

I had a nice day, my friend. I am just home from my friend Karin's book signing and felt like a celebrity in the autotorium when she stopped on her way up to the stage to give me a hug. :)

Oh my but does he get excited when I come over. You may be right - perhaps the UPS man and I are much alike. :)
I have heard that a couple of times, but not lately. They were fine with either, but had to do such rapid readjustment in their thinking about the forthcoming baby.

Thank you. :)

I think I would like Charlie. :) Thank for for the supreme compliment!
Yes - I'm not good at arrangements either. But I don't like the fussy ones - I like the effortless look of this one.

Who knows, maybe. And I think that would be a pretty good party trick for a baby. :)
I've never met a UPS man I did not like, so I say you're in fine fine company.
I agree on that kind of arrangement too!
xo
Jannie -
My friend Zack is a UPS man - the nicest person I know. So yes - in good company. :)
The dog seems one happy character. Hope to see his picture sometime.
I actually like the use of green in the arrangement- sets off the blossoms well.
Sonograms- usually pretty accurate-the parts do start very small. My daughter BBM got high def videos put to music of her last baby in utero, as they were working out how to sell those at the hospital where she works n had care. I Actually saw his face before his birth! She had it done at three stages. I assume that's how it changed.
When I was growing up the huskie dogs down the street used to do that- they were so hyper!

Scout is a HAPPY character. I would like to photograph him, but he doesn't stay still for very long.

I like the green, too. I was really joking when I said the baby's sex changed. The sonogram person was just mistaken the first time, and they had gone so far as to pick out a boy's name, too.
