Careless, sailing and road trip

- I'm getting loads of vacation photos from friends and family and a couple of them caught my eye. Friend Bonnie took this photo of someone's beautiful little balcony in Venice. I love the sort of careless way the pots are arranged.

- My cousin Susan took this photo from a cruise ship sailing through Monaco. These were school kids in a sailing class. I love the precise way they are lined up and spaced apart.

- The whisper of the river. This will be my view for the next couple of days. I am joining my sister in North Carolina. The river is calling my name...

Have a great weekend, friends!

Rivers that speak
In a soft whisper to thē
Boats sailing all in a line
Flowers look grand
In their window stands
And to your sisters
You’re fixing to go.

Will you have a lot of fun watching the river.

Welcome to N.C. Lynn! Excellent photos; the one of the colored kid's sailboats lined UP is a true prize. I absolutely love the staggered look of the plants on that balcony! Thanks for sharing!!!!!!

Tony -

I know - lucky little Monacoans!

I like the thought of that random shout-out to people that Tony says hello. :)

Holland -

I had collected the first two photos on my desktop and decided today was the day to post them.

Thanks for coming by and I'll be visiting your blog momentarily.

Meredith -

I know three people who have been on the same cruise line to the Mediterranean in the past month. I am happy with my North Carolina visits, but would love to see some of the Mediterranean at some point.

I just love little rivers like that with the trees overhanging.

And the little balcony is so pretty! Venice is on my very short list of places I would love to visit.

Enjoy your weekend, Lynn, and some much-deserved river time :)

Kenju -

I know - it is lovely, isn't it? Most of the other shots were gondola, etc. so I nabbed this one.

It's on my list, too. Someday.

Talon -

Thank you and you have a great weekend, too!

Lance -

I will have fun with her I am sure. See you Sunday on your blog. :)

I can't believe the Venetian fit so many pots on that tiny balcony! They really love flowers-
Susans boat from a boat pic is awesome! The perspective n scales of difference shown makes a powerful image, worthy of selling to a publisher- or for a travel log-
Glad you're getting back to your fave spot where the River is a dear friend! You deserve a break!
