It's Finally Friday, Happy Birthday Felix and yum

- Just an image here today, but a GREAT Friday song. My favorite song about Friday. I like country music, but only if it is extremely twangy. Right? Shouldn't country music be twangy? I'm just sayin'. Happy Friday!

- On the flip side, for some distinctly untwangy music: yesterday was Felix Mendelssohn's birthday and it was lovely to hear his music played all day long on the NPR station in Atlanta.

- Meeting a client for a late lunch of grilled mahi mahi and sliced avocado tacos, with a side of black beans and some lovely roasted tomato salsa. Yum.

I hope you have a lovely weekend friends!

Twangy seems to be the right word for Country music.
Then again not caring who song what I only liked it or not.
Yes the meal did sound great. Have a great weekend yourself

I *love* this song, too!!!

There's a radio station here that used to play this song at 5PM every Friday. Sadly, they have stopped...

The lunch sound delish!!

That is some old-school country music! I enjoy it - in small doses. ;-)

Yum! Your lunch sounds lovely, Lynn. If the conversation with the client was even half as delicious, I imagine you had a great time.

I'm not a huge fan of the twang, unless it's classic bluegrass music. But F. thinks bluegrass sounds like someone is murdering a cat. ;) Ah, well, to each her own.

Have a fantastic weekend!

Ahhh, I was thinking Felix the cat too, a la Fireblossom. Remember him? Glad you clarified!

Sounds like an AWESOME lunch!! Avocado is so good for you too. Well, not only good for YOU, but for all of us. Except for the avocado intolerant I guess.

xoxoxo

Finally Friday, whooo hooo.

I love avocado even if it is fattening. Not that keen on country music I'm afraid.

Have a lovely weekend Lynn!

I don't like that country music that sounds like mainstream music - if it's country, I want it to be twangy. That's why I hardly ever listen to it. :)

Lance -

I used to love the Friday whistle on 96 Rock in Atlanta. I found it on You Tube and almost posted that.

I kind of like Felix the Cat, too - wonder when his birthday is??? :)

I can imagine that you might lose days when you are snowed in constantly. Wish I could bring you some tacos!

I wouldn't want that all the time either. I agree. :)

The restaurant was one of those stainless steel and glass places - really cool and we could watch the rain while we chatted.

Yeah - I like bluegrass, too. I chuckled at F's description of it. :)

Jannie -

I wonder if there is avocado intolerance - I hope not - it is such a benign fruit. Hee hee.

Granny Annie -

I'm glad you liked it! My friend Steven taught me to line dance with him to a country music song once and I could just imagine doing that to this song.

Joe -

Avocados are so good for you - I have one right now that will go in my salad later today.

I'm glad you can watch the videos at someone's house. I guess I'll be back to photos this week.
