Flash mob playing Peer Gynt, evening gift and yum

- How I wish there could be an experience like this on our transit system.  A lovely and peaceful two + minutes.

- An evening in which plans fell through.  And also there was chamber of commerce weather outside and I could have walked, but didn't. Instead, there was mostly sitting on the sofa watching TV and going to bed early.  I call that a gift.

- A simple supper of caprese salad - tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, basil from my potted garden and freshly ground cracked pepper, drizzled with olive oil.  So good - I could eat that every night.

I hope there is peace, unexpected gifts and good things in your weekend, my friends.  Have a great one!

How cool! That NEVER happens on the bus!

Do you think in the U.S. the musicians would get mugged and have their instruments stolen? Ah, the eternal skeptic in me...

What is chamber of commerce weather?

Salad sounds healthy and yummy.

I hope there is peace, unexpected gifts and good things in your weekend too, my friend.

FB -

I know - I love the peaceful looks of surprise on commuters' faces.

Granny Annie -

That could happen, I guess. :)

Chamber of Commerce weather: Traditionally it has meant a day with gorgeous weather that would encourage tourists to visit and companies to relocate to a particular area, according to the Urban Dictionary. I hear that expression on the news all the time. Today will be like that, too - a high in the 70s, blue sky, no rain in sight.

Thank you - it looks to be lining up that way!

Old Lady of the Hills -

I think so, too.

Your blog is lovely - I'll be back.

Sage -

Grace - absolutely.

My coworker participated in a bagpiper flash mob in a nearby suburb square. So fun.

Since tomatoes are looking better these days, I usually keep the ingredients for caprese on hand. Easy and delicious.

We eat tomato salads like this all the time. :) Daughter #4 takes them in her school lunch with a nice hunk of ciabatta.

Your dinner sounds wonderful. With a capital W. I too love that sort of food.
Early nights are always a gift.
And, thank you for the gift of this flashmob. Truly amazing.

Caprese is my favorite! I'm not hungry, and of course your blog made me hungry ;)

A caprese sala definitely sounds appetizing.

Probably would freak my wife out if I ate something like that, simply because I'm so well known in my house for not really eating vegetables.

I love free live music anytime!
Sorry your plans fell thru, but sometimes a day or night of rest is so welcome- I need one.
I haven't had alot of salad lately due to the chiller weather before today.
I grew one pea pod on my kitchen table this week, n did buy some potted Thyme for the deck garden. It was cheaper than getting the spice bottle! Love the home garden this time of year.

Hey Lynn!
I saw your comment about the video/song. I re-posted it with the You Tube video rather than the link to it. Try again!
:-)
Hope your weekend is fine!

I so love that baby taking it in!
Like it was normal. Wonderful!
Maybe it will happen in the U.S., as well. It is a very generous thing to do.

You will love long long long if you do eat that each night.

Never imagined anything like that symphony could take place on a public train. Beautiful!
