Artful arrangement, patchwork quilt and organization

- A coworker brings in produce from his garden and displays it artfully on the light table at work.  He said the peppers were arranged in order of mildness to hotness, meaning that the ones on the bottom were the most fiery.  He jokes so much that I almost didn't trust that the little red ones wouldn't be hot, but they were very sweet.

- This postcard that came from Jannie Funster.  I liked her post "Sail a note like a ship out to sea".  You can see the card there in a photo of the artful arrangement she gave her soon-to-be-mailed postcards.  They look like a patchwork quilt there on that picnic table and they have joined the patchwork quilt canvas that is my refrigerator.  :)

- I heart my new laundry room cabinets.  It looks like a real laundry room now - there was just a shelf there before.  I keep going in there to look at them and it was fun loading them up.  (It doesn't take much to make me happy.)  The best part was dedicating one section for storage of vases that were previously stuck all over the place.  Maybe I'll be inspired to buy flowers at the farmers' market more often now.

I hope you have a delightful weekend, my friends!  I don't have one thing planned yet, which means that there will be lots of reading.  Yay!

The colors of the peppers are so vibrant.
I completely understand getting excited over those cabinets. That kind of thing would make my entire month! It is funny how we keep looking back to admire such things: )

I like that arrangement of peppers from mild to hot. Came out color coordinated as well.

Good healthy stuff indeed.

Wonderful cabinets, wonderful garden produce. Have a wonderful weekend.

I would have been scared of those small peppers also! Somehow the littlest ones always seem the most intimidating.

You mean those ones weren't "Red Hot Chili Peppers?" My green peppers didn't grow this year. A co-worker told me the soil needs to be acidic for them. I really can't eat hot peppers anyhow- too much heartburn!
I have a bee crawling on white flowers hanging in my kitchen collage- That's a pic of hippie cement graffiti I guess?
Congrats on the new cupboards- I'm jealous! Only have 2 small ones in the kitchen here- everything just hangs out n looks cluttered.
I pick my deck flowers for my little vase n jars to save money. Petunias n pansies this week- n straw-flowers are beginning to blooming this week. Maybe I'll dry some.
Have a good week-end reading!

I know what you mean abut going back to look, I'm like that with lots of things - like my new kitchen sink a couple years ago.

That was nice of you to mention the postcard and link me up, thanks

Works of hotness art those peppers are! Lovely pic.

I do have a generous coworker - there are a couple of them that share their garden produce.

It floats my boat, too - I love it. :)

Leonora -

It does make my whole month! The same guy is coming back to paint the laundry room on Monday. It really needs it. Funny how one thing leads to another.

Claudia -

I hope it was good!

Sandie -

You, too? :) I got some reading in this a.m. Lovely.

He was cute - when I was taking the photo, he moved a couple of things so the picture would be nicer. :)

You have quite a collection of vases!

I wouldn't have trusted those little red peppers either. They look too cute. It makes me suspicious.

Fireblossom said...

Yeah, red peppers are less hot than green ones, even though that seems counterintuitive.

Little things excite me, too. I'd be looking at my new shelves if I had them, too!

I know - what if there were flowers in all of them at once? I'd like to do that just one time. I tend to put out flowers when book group comes over - that kind of thing. I need to get them for myself more often.

The guy is coming back to paint today - more excitement here. :)

Thank you, my friend. As do you.
