- Wise words from Thomas Edison, posted by the boss at work.
- We don't tend to mince words here in the South. By the dawn's early light, Mr C's declares an affinity for winning. And earlier when I was watching the US Rowing Team singing the national anthem as they received their gold medals, my heart swelled with pride, too.
That's a lot of wires in that photo above, huh? Just an observation. :) I hope you all have a glorious weekend!

I just reported Boycott American Women whacko blog in the "Report Abuse" area of Blogger - we'll see what happens.
I have basil, thyme, oregano and chives. So easy to grow and it's been wonderful to have the fresh basil particularly.
I'm sure Mr C's has that on the bar TV.
Captain Boycott American Women has been very busy today. I deleted him from my place earlier as well.
I adore the smell of basil in the morning. Particularly the purple one - Opal Basil it is called over here. And when winter is over I will get some more. Yummo.
Yes, our modern lives are lived by wires wires everywhere, and sometimes walking on tight ones. :)
U.S.A. U.S.A.!! We were so glad about the womens' gymnastics team taking gold!
"Basil! Basil!!!" Quoth Sybil Fawlty to her husband, to which he often replied... "Yes, my little pirhana-fish....?" :
Hope your weekend is as awesome as you. If so, that will be one AWESOME weekend!!!
xooxxo
Oh, Captain Boycott was over at my place too!
I just got spammed too - I reported him last time, I can't believe he's still able to post. He got Claire, too. I wish I had that much free time.
I want to visit Mr. C's!
I love how the signs change and they're always entertaining...and OMG, I love the scent of basil. I need to start an herb garden at the ALF.
Wish I had some lovely herbs planted to enjoy the aroma.
Great quote!
USA! USA! USA!
I like that quote, and I do believe that it is true!
true--- and original post... like this. Have a nice weekend too :-)
Man I love the smell of basil! What a great way to wake up!
Just a note - I'm out of town with family - a fun trip - back Wednesday! Lynn
I love your herb and Edison's quote. And don't we have far too many wires in this world? lol
sandie
We are missing you so far today, my dear. You are so special to me. Ahhhhh, out of town -- back Wednesday. I guess I can live with that!! :)
xooxxoxoxo
The Elephant's Child -
I don't know purple basil - I love the thought of that. Next year I shall look into that.
Jannie -
Basil and Sybil Fawlty - love them. :)
My weekend was awesome - I went to my niece Abby's baby shower in Florida and got back last evening. Spotty AT&T service down there, so no blogging.
xo
Riot Kitty -
Come visit and we'll go to Mr. C's.
Scarlet -
You could get your residents to help you. My late mom's ALF had an herb garden and the cook uses them in the food he serves the residents.
Granny Annie -
Next year maybe? Although with that boiling heat you all have in Oklahoma, you'd need to water twice a day.
FB -
I've begun working an added function there at work and I think that was directed toward me - everyone seems astounded that I was able to pick up this computer program so easily. They really don't know me, I think.
Dulce -
Thank you and I'm glad you stopped by!
Joanne -
Truly.
Sandie -
Indeed - I didn't notice all the wires until I downloaded the photo. :)
Jannie -
You are special to me, too, my dear. And I'm back home, but the blog will have to wait until tomorrow. I don't usually skip a posting day, but didn't plan ahead on this one.
xo
Lynn, What does the sign say? it's too dark for me to read it!
lg!
Hope that your day is swell!
lg -
It says: GO USA KICK BUTT AND TAKE NAMES
:)
Is it still too dark if you click on the photo to enlarge it? I didn't think about it being too dark.
There was something else I noticed about the US Rowing Team but I'm not going to mention it on your blog. Let's just say one of the guys was very very excited with the medal. :D
Maybe it's cause I'm 54! I tried enlarging it...
:-)
Joe -
Oh my! I'm thinking you meant the mens' team. Hmmm. :)
