- It was a drizzly, misty Labor Day weekend by the river, but how I wish I was there again anyway. I did read half a book, mostly while dozing and dreaming in between.
- This man was pulling on gloves to enter the refrigerated truck - you can see the condensation pouring out if you click to enlarge. I'd want to eat all the ice cream inside if I drove that Mayfield truck next to it. :)
- Mountains surround the fields of hard working farm families. I love how they live amid their crops.

I love having time to read. When I was young, I sometimes spent entire afternoons reading. I'm too restless to do that now, but I still love to read.
Your scenic photographs are excellent. Certainly conducive to day dreaming. Oh yes, the ice cream truck is ALSO conducive to day dreaming. YUM!
That last picture took my breath away, not that the other 3 didn't. The first did, and the thought of ice cream did too.
Yes, farms are there and then highways grow up around them, happened to my folks too -- a highway between the house and the barn. But what did they know in 1830 when they built the place?? :) :)
Dreaming is good.
I'm actually finishing up a song that has this line in it...
"I'm not getting any songwriting done dreaming of you..." A funny one. Happy.

I mean the other 2 pix, of course, not 3 as I typoed.
More coffee!! :)

We had the same weather here. Sometimes misty, drizzly days are exactly what I'm in the mood for.
Good place to dream at and dream of.
Sounds like a restful time you had- I'm jealous, still trying to catch up on all the sleep I lost the past few weeks. The river looks good wearing grey too! A truck full of ice cream.... mmm. I made ice cream pies one summer. Luckily my freezer wasn't working, so didn't bring home what couldn't soon be eaten, or I'd weigh another 100 pounds...
I'd so love to have a little farm, except in drought, flood, or locust attack! The caterpillars n squirrels did in some of my faves this summer. It only takes one day to ruin crops. alot of work to stop disasters- Good luck to those folks!
That's a beautiful place...I could never drive an ice cream truck for the same reason I could never work in a place that served cheese enchiladas.
That first photo epitomised heaven. Greenery with running water nearby. Bliss.
Thank you so much for these photos - they soothed my tired eyes.

It's a great escape for sure.
Granny Annie -
It's such a peaceful place - I try not to take it for granted when I'm there.
Jannie -
I so hope the highways don't make it over that far.
Dreaming is good. Love the sound of that song!

More coffee here, too. :)

I know - I like those kinds of days...

Absolutely.
Snaggle -
I could see you with a little farm. That would be awesome, huh? Except for the insect attacks and such.
Riot Kitty -
I hear you on that, my friend!
The Elephant's Child -
I'm glad I could help soothe.
I wish that I was there now!
Mama Zen -
Me, too. :)
I was quite impressed with myself. I finished reading my book when I was in the States. It only took me a year and a half to finish. Now I've started a new one, I hope to read it a little quicker though. :D
Joe -
Now I want to know what the book is. :)
You first photo is so very pretty.
