- Finally getting the family pictures wall in my home office going. The plan is to cover the rest of that wall with more. Upper left - my maternal grandparents are in that group of employees of Southern Railway and their families at a picnic in Macon, Georgia. Right - my aunt and dad as children - taken in Fullerton, California. Bottom - my dad and lots of other Navy men bound for World War II at Camp Peary, Virginia.
- Picking oak tree blossoms off my rosemary bush and finding that delightful scent of rosemary lingering on my fingers after I come inside.
- From the wonderful emails from Doug and his garden, the end quote:

I love photos and pictures clustered together on a wall. I have a large montage of black and white photos in the dining room.
I have to say I used to hate flowers but now they are growing on me! Ha, that sounds like joke, but it's true! :D

I think the smell of rosemary is so invigorating. I had a huge rosemary bush outside my front door in Monterey, CA. I would step out to pick up the morning paper and be AWAKE!

I love your family picture wall. My Uncle Dan had an entire room covered in family pictures and my mom has the same in what she calls her music room. I never tire of standing there for long lengths of time and staring at all the old photos.

Rosemary smells great but I can't stand it in food. So true about flowers!
Like your Photo wall, n choice of pics. I have baby pics all over. I just don't get sick of them! I grow herbs when they will- n now have Lavender. The smell is always great- I like to put the leaves into pockets. I agree on the flowers make you better quote- it works for me!
I love your photo wall. My parents is as far back as I have any photographs - and I have none of my mother's brother and don't even know if my father had any siblings.
I adore the scent of rosemary, and rub mine as I go past. Also the lemon verbena and the lavender.
And the flower quote was spot on.

I thought about doing this in the living room or dining room, but I like the way those rooms look now, so the home office is a good choice. It's my favorite room anyway.

That's wonderful. I love doing that, too. I have so many more waiting to be framed. I started with the originals first and will go from there. That photo of my dad's Naval unit was rolled up and cracking - torn in one spot. It's preserved forever now with UV glass and acid free backing.

We had a picture wall in our Tulsa house and took it down and packed away the photos when we moved. You have inspired me to make an effort to find them and recreate the wall here, with additions of course.
"that delightful scent of rosemary lingering on my fingers..." beautiful depiction here, Lynn. It made me think of the HUGE magnolia blossoms out of the mountains that smell sooo wonderful and I love so well. I hope i get to see them this year!
I love old baby pictures! My craggy 6'3" grandfather was once a gorgeous toddler with shoulder-length ringlet curls. It's hard to believe.
I loved the photo wall:~) I have tons of pictures all over my house. I think a house should be full of pictures.
Since we renovated, I've been putting flowers in a vase on our island. I love seeing them and smelling them.

I love the rosemary smell too, and I notice Kelly dips her fingers into the plant whenever she finds it.

One of my uncles had a photo like that - he had shoulder length curls. One of his great grandchildren was talking about that photo and said "...when Grandpa was a girl."
Nice photos of the family and a beautiful way of making a home office feel even more homey.
Flowers are a good thing. They bring such peace and comfort to one's soul.
