- In a small village of Pomaire, Chile, it is believed that Chanchitos, (little pigs), bring good luck. Three legged Chanchitos are especially fortunate and are traditionally given to friends as a token of goodwill and love. My dark afternoon photo shoot didn't result in a clear photo, so here he stands in the kitchen - a brighter place for a photo of this little guy.
- A new addiction: my nightly pot of hot Darjeeling tea. It is grown in the foothills of the Himalayas and is considered the "champagne" of teas. There is something about a comforting cup of tea in the evening.
- Hearing from friends in Oklahoma (including Granny Annie and her Ron and Mama Zen) that they are OK after the devastating storms. The blog world brings the real world so much closer.

Ron tells a story about a farmer who had a three legged pig and a salesman visited one day and ask about the pig and the farmer said "You don't think we could eat that pig all at once do you?" (Something like that. It's a very long story to get to that punchline.)
My dad was a teetotaler and loved Darjeeling tea.
Thank you for your care and concern as we were on alert these past three days.

Oh my - yikes! Poor pig. :)
Darjeeling is so good I want everyone to know about it. That's neat that your dad loved it, too.
Yes - I'm so glad you are OK!
I am thrilled for the people who were safe in Oklahoma and in prayer for the others.
I love piggy banks. They make me smile. :)
Yes, a relief that so many escaped the fury. I keep the ones not so fortunate in my thoughts and prayers.
So true - blogging has blessed me with so many fabulous friends. :)
What a cute pig. :)
And that is so true about the blogging world bringing the real world so much closer. I was thinking that today when I read the lives of other bloggers all over the world.
Love the chancito. And yes, Darjeeling is lovely tea. The news about Oklahoma has been making my heart hurt. Sometimes the natural world is very hard.
Did he go to market? OK, I just had to ask!
I am very glad GA and Ron are ok also!
Cute little good luck charm! Thought it was a bank- Tea is my fave drink. Wonder if it costs alot like champagne too?
Good to hear good news so fast online, instead of all the disasters which have been on the news.

That's nice. That isn't a bank though.

I always think that, too.
I am so glad that our friends are all right. I'm just stunned by what has happened in Moore.
I have a new addiction, too, to Chobani Greek yogurt. I'm totally hooked.

Yes - the natural world can be so hard - it's difficult to imagine the things that have happened that way.
