Winding path, along the way and no idling

- Saturday morning walk at the Greenway Trail in Lilburn, Georgia.  The air was fresh and cool after all the rain.  I love the way they made that winding path through the trees.

- Sunday morning walk up the street where I live.  I think these are Bachelor's Buttons, aka Cornflowers, that someone thoughtfully planted next to the sidewalk.  I liked how they seemed to be reaching for the sun.

- I love this sign in front of the elementary school I pass by.  My immediate thought was that "Idle hands..." quote, but they only want you to cut your car (or school bus) off while waiting.  :)

Looks like a nice bridge there? A creek running under? I've always loved that name bachelor's buttons, I wonder what's the origin. I think I'll be Googling it.

Neat sign...I've never seen it before; I suppose it implies "No Smoking?" Love love those foggy looking blue bachelor buttons! I could live in that exact color! It's one of my favorites! :-)

Have a great day and a fun filled week Lynn! lg! :-)

Jannie -

You TOTALLY were first. :)

Hilary -

I don't see those cornflowers around much - I wonder if someone sprinkled seeds and they just came up.

Cheers to you!

Jannie -

You so were! Yes - there is a creek that runs underneath there.

And where have you been, my friend? I've missed you. Romp away!

xoxo

Another friend I've missed - how are you??? That blue is a favorite of mine, too.

Hope your week is good, too!

What a gorgeous place to walk, Lynn. That sign is adorable!

Love the sign! And I love the color of cornflowers - I suppose that's why they call it "cornflower blue."

Are Bachelor Buttons aka Cornflower the same as Texas Blue Bonnets? I guess I can google that. The color looks the same. Beautiful.

I am trying to do all our mowing and we have high grass in our woods area where I am hoping to carve a winding walking path to the neighbor's house with our tractor. Ron isn't very favorable about it. I think he is more concerned about the tractor than about me.

I haven't seen signs like that around a school. Maybe because I haven't been around a school in years:)

You have the prettiest places to walk!

Interesting sign- I've gotten behind some smoky old vehicles on the road lately and it's a reminder of how much yuck we breath in.

Awesome pic of that path- makes me want to see what's around the bend. I used to have tone of the . Buttons on the deck. Didn't know the aka cornflowers before. The years old seeds haven't sprouted again. they were always a nit floppy on the deck tho. Cool Sign- never seen one saying that. We could all use less exhaust to breathe. We're getting alot here lately!

I'm glad that they are looking out for "young lungs"!

Riot Kitty -

I haven't taken my walk on my street in about a year - I've been missing out on some beauty.

Granny Annie -

Ah - men and their tractors. :) My BIL has a new tractor - my sis says he's in love with it. I say - good for you for doing all the mowing. I'll bet it's kind of fun driving a tractor!

Naomi -

I know - such a pretty color blue.

A Greenway Trail? You should go - a wonderful place to walk. I'm glad they are doing that more often.

Leonora -

Thank you - I think so, too. Yes - I avoid exhaust at all costs. :)

Thank you for coming by - always good to see you.

I've always picture Georgia as being a beautiful state; and this hasn't altered the picture in my mind. :)

That sign is a great idea. Car fumes are pretty toxic. I hope it works!
