- January has never been my favorite month, but now that we have Downton Abbey, it's coming around for me.
- A chilly, foggy commute this morning, but as I approached midtown Atlanta on I-85 south, I could smell something like bread baking. But then realized it was the glorious fumes from the SweetWater Brewing Company down on the right. Lovely to think that beer brewing gives off that comforting scent in the air.
Three things that gave me pleasure the last two days: food sharing, Downton Abbey and the smell of beer brewing. :)

Those greens look GOOD. Cornbread is on my 'must try' list.
Delicious and healthy!
You are in for a wonderful season of Downton Abbey. Yes, I have already seen it all:)
My new WILL IT WAFFLE cookbook came last night and I thought of you when I found a recipe for Kale Crisps. Too bad you got rid of your waffle iron.
Oh, you'd get along great with my husband. He's been eating lots of greens lately. I'm not so fond of them, however.
I am fond of Downton Abbey and am already enjoying the new season. It does help with the gloomy weather we've been having this month.
It is nice to smell something like beer brewing, rather than car exhaust. With the fog, have you felt like you were living in London, lately?
I've never watched Downtown Abby, but I hope you enjoy it, and yes January is a slightly depressing month but we are half way through it now with the promise of nicer weather in front of us.
Hey, thanks so much for the link to the article about Emmylou!!!
Do you know, I have never had mustard greens. pass them over my way, won't you?
Eating greens like that in the middle of winter has GOT to be good for you!
That's funny you should mention beer brewing smelling like bread baking. When Steve brews he always says it smells so good, like bread baking. It makes me feel a little nauseous. Too much of a good thing maybe?
That sounds and looks pretty damn tasty to me! :)
I know I'm crazy to have soup in this heat we're having here today...but I did have bowl of pea and ham soup...made from the remnants of my Christmas leg of ham...still a few more containers in the freezer. I did enjoy it, though...even if I do now feel as if I'm sitting in a sauna! :)
Those greens look delicious!
Those greens really bulk down when cooked I guess. Sounds like a tasty way to eat them I hadn't thought of yet. Funny that beer fumes smelled yummy!
Anything that smells like bread makes me want bread. Yum!
