- But I'm averaging three bottles per day. And they also said to put the rubber bands around your wrist as you remove them from the bottle. Too painful, that - I just put them aside. I'm thinking three bottles per day is good.
- So many people dislike winter, but I'm not one of them. I enjoy the sky darkening in the early evening, which helps me wind down from my day. Plus the fireplace, sweaters, fun patterned knee socks that I wear underneath pants and no one ever sees, eastern standard time and comfort food. But spring is surely on the way and the pink blossom trees blooming around Atlanta right now are so pretty. These are next to the drive-thru at Starbucks (last Saturday a.m.)
- And the sunrise sky was spectacular this morning. They were talking about it on the local morning news, so I went outside to look and snapped this with my cellphone camera. Just lovely.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend, my friends!

I'm not sure how they come up with these formulas on how much water to drink. If you are drinking 3 bottles a day, you are almost drinking a 2-liter bottle of water a day. To me, that seems like a lot of fluid, especially if you eat a lot of foods with fluid in them, like fruit or soups.
Lisa -
I know! I usually take the third bottle with me for the commute home to the 'burbs. And I have coffee in the morning and two cups of hot tea, so I think that's plenty, too.
Sixty fluid ounces sounds like a lot to me. And I suspect I would be chained to the bathroom if I drank that much.
I am also a fan of winter. I love the elegance of naked trees against the sky, being able to snuggle into bed, and the invigorating air. Spring has charm too though.
You find the good part of life!
Oh my - those pink blossoms are just fabulous!
Hi Lynn - I know I need lots of water and make a point of drinking a fair amount .. but it's what I need, rather than what's prescribed for one and all. The rubber bands are a good idea though ...
The cherry trees are looking lovely - I must get to town and look at ours in the centre ... as I walk around I notice Spring is nearly here ... cheers Hilary
So clever an idea with the rubber ands.
I too am a lover of winter.
And spring and Sumer and fall.
And the sky.
And sunrises.
I can guarantee you that fluids are very important and coffee and tea do not really hydrate a person. I ended up calling 911 at the end of Christmas Day because I could not stand or walk. Diagnosis...dehydrated. I like the rubber band idea.
There is nothing more beautiful than a perfect sunrise or sunset. You caught a good one.
So that's weird, I totally thought I'd commented on this, but it was with my new iPhone, so may not have done it correctly. I FINALLY have an iPhone again after 5 years economizing with a little flip-phone. iPhones have become quite a lot morefangled since the lowly 3S. :) :)
I think 3 of those a day is plenty!! IMO, the experts try to overwater us. :)
I LOVE winter too, lady after my own heart!!
So here's something funny (to me anyway) :) I just left a second comment on your post from about Feb. 12th (including fridge magnets and the hokey-pokey) but I'm not sure you even read the first one. :) I was like, 4 days late to the party. :)
xooxoxoxoxoox
you do good when you not put those rubbers on you wrist dear as it can hurt you ,hope you are not taking too much water dear ,
your photos are so beautiful and yes i am also in love with winters though, have a blessed day
I really need to drink more water, but I'm not a great fan of it I must say, but I do know how good it is meant to be for you. I probably don't drink one bottle of water a day!
I also do not drink the recommended amount of water and that rubber band idea seems a good one, but one which I won,t really follow through on myself...good luck to you at reaching the half-way point, Lynn.
Lovely photos, i also love the winter skies.
That looks like a good way to remember to drink plenty of water
Wow how spectacular a sunrise! Some one told me to have 6 also, but I don't get the bathroom breaks to go along with that, n already carry 4.5 drinks to work each day. I feel that over-watered too!
Staying hydrated is a good idea, but if 3 bottles feels like enough, then it probably is, for you. Apparently the "8 glasses per day" advice is not based on anything scientific. Maybe it started out as a marketing campaign for bottled water?
