Impulse buy, spooky home and sparkling

Seems like a day for some Good Things!  And as always, it's the little things...

The cashier at the grocery store loved that I was buying flowers and wine.  "And a salad!" she said (looking perplexed).  I told her the flowers were an impulse buy for me, the wine was for a gift and the prepared salad was for lunch the next day.  I adore coming home and seeing these flowers, first thing.

Friend Janice and I were walking in park on Saturday morning - a lovely, crisp morning.  I think I've posted a pic of this tree before, but I still think it's delightfully spooky looking.  And love that it has a bird house on it.  If I were a bird, that's where I would want to live, in this spooky home.

And the driveway view at the condos was sparkling with light and color when I got home from the walk.  Love the shadows on the pavement, too.

I hope you have a lovely, peaceful week, my friends!

Lynn, I especially liked that tree, too. I always love the minty-sage color, low lying, flat green moss that grows on them. The tree you posted was a great specimen of this...the branches were arranged well, too! Pretty photos (all around.)

With a ladder to help you reach that first branch, this is a perfect tree to climb. can almost smell the trees and crumpled leaves.

Your flowers are a cheery sight! The drive into your condo is very pretty. There's even a bit of color left on the trees. I think the color arrived late, after we had given up hope on seeing any this year.

I love these photos, a pretty tree lined street, an awesome old tree and the flowers with your beautiful home in the background is a real pleasure to see.

Don't you wonder about the stories trees could tell. I love that photo of the spooky tree. It is beautiful to me. There was a time I always bought myself fresh flowers and it truly was welcoming to come home to. Maybe I will do that some more.

Good for you, Lynn, on the flower purchase. Weekly flower purchass are included on our shopping list and I also enjiy seeing them on table when entering the apt. And, wine plus time with friends seem to be a good pairing. The trees on the condo entry drive are lovely. And, we have also had good weather for walks both in town and the nearby park.

That's a great impulse buy. I love sunflowers and I think they light up a room like no other flower. I have a single one with lots of greenery around it in my living room. The yellow petals looks perfect with the blue decor.

I couldn't find the birdhouse but the spooky tree photo is beautiful. You have a great eye for photography and a wonderful camera, I imagine.

Yes that tree does look spooky. I was expecting to see a wise old owl sitting on a branch.

I think I would have given the salad as a gift and kept the wine! Ha.
