Poinsettias, abundance and snowman

 - These poinsettias displayed to dramatic effect in the swanky office building a client works in.  I've never been a fan of these plants, but they look beautiful here.

 - Mr C's got in the spirit of things on a rainy Thursday afternoon.

- My coworker Joanne is a glass artist and actually blew the glass for this snowman ornament.  Love his orange carrot nose!  She made them for her clients, but I was lucky enough to be given one at the end of the day yesterday.  Probably because I kept admiring them so openly.  :)

I wish you an abundance of holiday cheer this weekend, my friends!

Lynn, thank you so much for listing me as a blog you love. I too received one of Joanne's glass snowman. It is beautiful isn't it?! I too thought how she pulled the snowman's nose was so creative. And, I too, was so pleased to receive one. Happy Holidays. Wendy Shannon, WithaSouthernTwist.com

Leonora -

I resisted the impulse to space those poinsettias apart perfectly evenly. :) Fortunately that's the only OCD symptom I have (I looked it up.) :) Christmas blessings to you, too, my friend!

Wendy -

Hello there! Joanne passed your business card on to me and said I would probably like your blog (www.WithaSouthernTwist.com), and I do! The snowman is so creative - her other items are great, too. Happy holidays to you, too, and thank you for stopping by!

Not a fan of poinsettias??? Who ever heard of such a thing?

Might have to bring home some eggnog today adding to an abundance of holiday cheer.

It pays to work up some good brownie points by bragging. You will treasure that ornament for years to come.

next time I'm in Atlanta, I'm going to have to meet Mr. C... As for poinsettias, I love them in the wild in Central America, where they grow wild and bushy

Wow, glass blowing friends. Amazing. Such a beautiful ornament. I had to laugh when I read in the comments about spacing the poinsettias. When I saw the pic, I wanted to fix them, too. Gorgeous display. Thank you for the Christmas good wishes. I send them right back to you. btw, I'm loving the 60 degree days of Christmas in the mid-
Atlantic. Almost as balmy as GA. :)

Granny Annie -

I guess it's that their time seems so short lived. And I've just never wanted them in my house because they make a little mess when shedding and I had to keep them away from the cats when I had cats.

Yum - I had a little eggnog at a party the other day. So good.

Am I bragging? You are right - I will treasure that ornament. I will put a note in the box that my friend made that so someday the kids will know that is a treasure, too.

Sage -

I have never actually been inside there, but I quite enjoy their sign. :)

I'll bet that is a sight to behold - poinsettias growing in the wild.

I always think poinsettias are best in groups. That snowman is adorable. I have a thing for snowmen (sssh--please don't tell hubby) :)

And a big big abundance to you too, Dear Lynn.

It would be fun to blow glass, I think.

And I thought the first photo was a painting until you described it. Just lovely.

Merry Merry Christmas.

Ya, I'm kind of over poinsettias myself. Someone gave me one for Christmas one year, and the plant lived all the way through to the next Christmas... when someone gave me another poinsettia plant. I don't love them enough to live in a poinsettia forest, so in the end I ditched them both. (Then I felt guilty, because plants have feelings too.)

That is one dream-like pic! Very cool-
I'm sure Mr C;s is pretty cheery when you want to get tipsy... Well rain is better than snow- we're getting flurries with no accumulation... A semi-white Xmas!

Beautiful ornament! Lucky score- must be a good person to work with.

Thanks for helping with the Cheer part!
Merry Christmas Lynn!
