The wall, Bingo, the hawk and an alien

The following all happened in the space of five minutes:

- Arriving at friend and hairdresser Tim's home for a quick bangs trim, I decide that the mosaic wall they have created in their driveway might make a good blog photo.

- But lovely Bingo shows up and dances around me, remembering that I know where the treats are and am always allowed to give her one.  I was singing B-I-N-G-O and Bingo was her name, OH!  when...

- A voice at my elbow (which almost makes me throw my camera in the air from being startled) says, "There's a baby hawk in the back yard, come see."  It's Tim's ethereal wife Maxie.  Can you see the baby hawk?  It's in some tall trees which are being taken over by the crazy all-consuming vine Kudzu.

- And there was a new sculpture on the way inside - a sexy posing alien.  How 'bout that?  The truth is out there, y'all.  :)

I hope you have a rollicking five minutes in your weekend, my friends.  I hope it's wonderful no matter what.

We have a 220 ft long barn and the back of it faces the road. It would be wonderful to have it painted like the mosaic on that wall. Hum??

I love the dog, the hawk and most of all the naked alien. You know some mighty interesting folks.

Sexy alien, LOL.

I too love that dog, could just have her jump on my lap for cuddles, even tho she is probably not wee.

Hope you have LOTS of combined 5 minutes of fun all weekend.

xoxo

Granny Annie -

That would be beautiful! Kind of like those barns painted like quilts.

I do know interesting folks. :)

Jannie -

You too!

And Bingo is a darling girl. She got her treat from me, too.

I know! Isn't the alien great?

And I always sing the Bingo song to her. :)

Lg -

I don't know and I haven't even scratched the surface of showing y'all the stuff in their place.

John -

Thanks John!

It's a zillion little tiles. It must have taken forever to do. The opposite wall is like that, too.

All in 5 minutes and you had your camera. BONUS. Love the nekked alien and the cutie dog. I wrote about my hairdresser today, too. I love coincidences like that in blogland. Have a great weekend. :)

Filip -

Thanks for coming by!

The Elephant's Child -

I know! Fun for me. :)

Riot Kitty -

Thank you! :)

Snaggle -

A good cam day for sure. Maxie is probably most responsible for the wall. She is a jewelry designer and a wonderful idea person. They are a great combination.

I keep my camera with me all the time. I'll check your hairdresser post out if I can - I am with my mom in the hospital thru the weekend. It's a little challenging reading blogs on my iPhone.

Great discovery I must say :D

Hahaha...love that alien! Mind if I post it on FB? My Miami figure drawing friends would get a total kick out of it!

The mosaic on the wall is so cool! We should all have a wall like that outside our homes!

I knew a dog named Bingo once and yes, you can't stop from singing that song when you meet a "Bingo!" :D

Shionge -

A good five minutes! :)

I don't mind at all - post away! :)

I adore that dog - she has such a sweet face and I couldn't get her to stand still. Great name, huh?

I told everyone that the aliens weakness is sunlight. It turns them to stone! oh no wait I think that was a troll actually. Hmm...

Lol - so that's what happened to that alien.:)

I love the hawk! The alien not so much.

That hawk was strangely sitting in a tree - not moving. I would have never spotted it.

Sexy Alien's are the best kind!

I love the wall. Very colourful and creative.

I hope your weekend was a good one Lynn?

These pictures were FUN. I loved the alien and the mosaic on the wall, but was totally taken with BINGO. How much fun to sing B-I-N-G-OH! I bet the dog gets tired of hearing that song.

The hawk looks like one I took a picture of at the golf course as I accompanied JC through his golf game. Unfortunately, he hit the ball in the hawk's direction and so it was quick shot and then a flash of wings. Both ball and hawk were fine. I can't say the same for JC:~)

aw, that alient statue! really strange. what a great find!

Joe -

It was good. And I loved that artistic wall, too.

Sara -

I'm glad you liked Bingo and her song, too. I wish I could have gotten her face - she kept moving!

Hawks are a little scary to me - not sure why this one was lingering in the back yard. And what an experience JC had!

Betty -

That statue doesn't even scratch the surface of the crazy stuff they have. There's lots of blog material there...

Hi Lynn,
I discovered your blog while searching for a "sexy posing alien figure" through Google images. Your alien has been the only one that remotely resembles the one I have been searching for, for several years. You see, we used to have a little vacation place on a lake in Oklahoma. We would drive by this place that had an alien similar to yours that we always admired. (This area is full of quirky, eclectic people.) Anyway, to make a long story short, the alien owners left the area and I have been searching for one like it ever since for my garden. Would you happen to remember where or how you acquired the figure? Any information you would feel comfortable sharing would be greatly appreciated. Once again, thank you for a great blog!
