- This folk art angel rising from the bushes at The OK Cafe in Atlanta. I've had a bit of an angel collection at home since the whole angel craze came about several years ago. The ones that linger are the folk art or whimsical ones that make me smile like this one does.
- And this kitchen angel that lives among cookbooks at home and the great chefs Julia, Betty and Ina.
- The artist who created Bella named her so "because she is so beautiful." She is made out of discarded piano parts and graces the hallway.
- This one watches over me while I am on my desktop computer at home. She was meant to be a Christmas decoration (and doubles as a bell.) My friend Barbara brought her from Las Vegas for me.

I can't think of a better theme than Angels for the letter A. I love the one made from piano pieces.
Looking forward to B!

Thank you - I love Bella so much, too. Cheers!
Granny Annie -
Thank you, my friend. That is so nice of you to say!
Angel craze? Guilty! I still have several at home in strategic spots, making sure all is copacetic. But I quit reading the books with the stories like "Angels saved me from my split ends!" (I still believe in angels, though. Oh yes.)
Love that cookbook angel as it reminds me of those cool comics/shows the mother as the calm eye of whatever chaotic storm may be swirling around her.
Hi Lynn- I enjoyed your A post. I don't have an angel collection that stays out all year, but I have quite a few out at Christmas.
Excellent post for the onset of the challenge. Loved the photo's.
Good luck with the challenge.
Yvonne.
Lynn! Did I miss this!!! I like your angel shots...."A" is for angel. I would have had to do "A" is for animals as I have so many! I guess mine would have to be a hairy part animal angel!!
I especially like the one made out of old wood. We could use old barn boards here. :-)

I'm with you on the books like that, but I definitely believe I have a guardian angel. Post about some of your angels sometime! OK?

I spotted that one in a bakery and tracked one down for myself. Love that she watches over my kitchen, which can be quite chaotic sometimes.
Brinda -
That's neat. Thanks for coming by - I'll see you at your blog shortly.

I love it that you have so many angels. :) You are an angel yourself, you know?
Hmm, does the cookbook angel actually help with cooking because I could really use that. :)
Good luck with the A-Z Challenge! :)
Love your angels for the letter "A" and my favorite is the one made of piano parts! How cool is THAT??
This is going to be a really interesting month and if I'm not careful I might actually learn a thing or two. :) What a great start! Great post!!
Angels are very popular this year! I love your pictures. Excellent start.
Hi, I'm from the A to Z challenge. I believe in Angels for sure. Anyway stop by my blog where I'll be discussing the Hunger Games. Have a great day
Looks like I'm with the crowd in my attraction to the piano angel. What a wonderful idea!
I have to admit that I find the first angel to be a bit creepy. But maybe that's not a bad thing. Angels aren't supposed to be darling little cherubs, necessarily, but fearful messengers from God. Maybe they should be kind of creepy sometimes.
The angel made from piano pieces is adorable!

She helps by making me smile when I look at her. :)
Scarlet -
I know - it is a treasure, for sure.

It's been fun to look around and see what everyone did with the letter A. :)

See you shortly!

I liked the folk artedness of it. Is artedness a word??? :)
Mama Zen -
I love it, too.
Lynn -- the angel made of discarded piano parts caught my mind and my heart! Thank you for sharing your angels with us -- and here's to a great A to Z!
Yay Angels! I love angels and I love all the pictures :)
What a fun thing to collect. I love folk-arty stuff too, and the giant angel is awesome.
I love the idea of angels watching over us - I like the one in the bushes!
I'm #142 in the challenge - nice to meet you!
Cool angels! Happy A-Zing!
What a sweet theme! I especially love that piano angel. :)
Beth, Michael, Julie, Annalisa, Tracy Jo, and Nicki -
Thank you so much for coming by! A to Z is so much fun. :)
Well, Geez I'm a little late for this awesome A party. Where the A list in having a ball.
That folk art one looks like she's been through some busy times I think. :) An angel ready for a break.
The origin of this blog's name? BEATIFUL things!!
xoxo
Love the folk art angels!
Hi Lynn, following your A to Z posts. I love the first one...well done!
I'm doing flash fiction, words picked at random, photos found to inspire, then max of 10 sentences and min of 100 words. I love that there are so many different approaches to the A to Z.
BTW, I'm picking out one commenter at random and adding them to my list to follow. Too many to do otherwise...
You have such unique Angels n a wonderful pic collection here! That Piano piece one is so cool I think.
Jannie -
Beautiful things - that's exactly it. :)

Jaye and Donna -
Thank you for stopping by and I'll be at your blogs shortly.
Snaggle -
That's not all of them, but the ones that are the most fun, I think.
You GO GIRL. You are up to the challenge. I love angels, too. I never finished the study I was doing about them. I think the next chapter was to study Lucifer. Yeah, he was an angel, too. :)
A Christian decoration from Las Vegas! Now there is something I haven't heard before.
Neat blog! My mom collects angels and every year I try to find her the most unusual one I can.
Stopping as part of the A to Z Challenge--love it when checking out new blogs is part of my work!
happygirl -
Hmmm - sounds like Lucifer might have been a good place to stop.
Riot Kitty -
I know and she does have a Vegas air about her, huh? I imagine they go there, too.
Shelley -
Thank you - I'll stop by your blog, too.
The best way to start is with angels! I loved seeing your collection. The kitchen one cracks me up.
Wow, between you and Hilary I'm gonna be busy with reading posts. Fortunately, I enjoy both of your sites very much:~)
