I shared with a friend that I had no inspiration for the letter "N" and she suggested Nails, Nuts and Nachos (tongue in cheek, of course). I could have run with that and almost did! But then I thought of my favorite city and picked out three photos I love.
- My niece and her husband used to live at the corner of E. 43rd Street and 2nd Avenue in New York, a lovely area also known as Turtle Bay. The first thing my sister showed me on the night I arrived by cab was that the Chrysler Building (pictured above) was reflected in the glass of their dining table. My sister and I loved our visit. 
- We stood in the rain in Times Square for same day theater tickets. We got our second choice - tickets for the show "Rain." Oh the irony!
Thanks for taking this trip down memory lane of a trip I took just last May. Day 14 of the Blogging from A to Z Challenge featuring the letter "N". Things that gave me pleasure. (Update - just saw that it is National Egg Benedict Day - oh the "N" possibilities that were!)

I've only been to New York City once but I loved it. I'd like to go back in the summertime rather than the winter.

Ah, New York- of Course! You have some great pics of it too- How lucky to reflect the Chrysler on the table! I think I'd hang out in Central park alot- I always gravitate toward trees... n free live music is great! I remember the cool umbrella shot! Wish I could see a Broadway production. I haven't done that yet-

New York! Excellent choice for the letter "N". And I'm betting you can find nails, nuts and nachos in New York. I have never been to New York but those family members who have, including my niece who lived there also, have certainly encouraged me to go someday.

I ended up going twice while my niece and her husband lived there (he worked at the United Nations) - they've moved on the Washington, DC now. I hope to go back again though.

Oh how I love NYC! I don't go often enough. I'm trying to get my husband to join me. I think he'd enjoy a show and shopping sometime. I'm going to have to show him your blog and nudge him in this direction. :)
I love the city, too. Especially central park! There is a beautiful spot by the lake, perfect for reading. Crowded in the summer though.

I've been to NY several times and can you believe...I've never visited the Chrysler building nor even been inside Central Park! In fact, I was in NY during the first week of this month and worked on my A to Z Challenge blog posts in the Brooklyn library.
Oh how I've often wished I'd lived in NY. I love that place! Great food. Great attractions. Great people. It's just awesome all around! That's all not to say it doesn't have it's cloudy moments just like any other city...I mean, I DID lose my iPod Touch in NY and then it got stolen and the city services were not in the least bit helpful. Still, I'd visit NY again in a heartbeat. I'm supposed to be there tomorrow but Jury Duty backed me up, so I plan on being in NY next week.

Great shots! I love to visit NYC, it is much more fun than living there was for me. Although I do miss the convenience of 24-hour diners and a 24-hour subway.
BTW I love vegetarian eggs benedict (they use avocado instead of ham.)

I hope he goes with you to visit. It far exceeded my expectations. My sister and I acted like tourists and took the double decker tour bus around Manhattan and it really does give a good overview of the city, which was important to me because I had never been there before. It helped me get my bearings.

I was there in 1976 .. but would love it more now and everything's been revamped ..
