- I borrowed this photo so you could see it actually snowed in Atlanta for 5 minutes yesterday. :) I ran to get my camera and it had already stopped. It's 30 degrees here this a.m.
- Overheard at work - a coworker got the squirrel in her attic to leave by practicing the bagpipes.
- Creamy mushroom risotto from the hot food bar at the natural food grocery and a fire in the fireplace after a long day.
We are so on the same wavelength. I made mushroom risotto yesterday. I'm having leftovers for lunch today. Send the snow my way. The mountains out here in Tahoe are in need. :)
I loved the one about the bagpipes and the squirrel. Where I grew up, squirrels used to nest in the walls of the house. It was a very old house. I could hear them at night scratching. It really scared me:~)
We also dipped down to freezing, but no snow. My poor plants...this has been a tough time for them.
No way! It was warmer here this a.m. I love the squirrel story! How did she think of that? Come to think of it, I suppose you could drive just about anyone away by doing that.
Well, at least you didn't have to shovel your last snowstorm! (I did, then it melted). Yep, bagpipe errors can make the best of us cringe, we are so spoiled with perfect players n walnuts... You sound like you know how to stay cozy- The news said it was 65F there today. We made 50F finally.

We got a little more snow than that, but not much.
Bagpipes...of course! Probably got rid of neighbors too.
Clam chowder from Golden Corral is Ron's favorite. Your creamy mushroom risotto is probably a lot healthier.
lol @ the squirrel vacating due to bagpipe music!
Oh, I truly never want to see that white stuff again! :)

Have a nice rest of your week:~)

Bagpipe music always makes me cry. Not certain why, but it works every time. My sympathy is with the squirrel. Mushroom risotta - mmmmmm.
Granny Annie -
It seemed as if everyone knew it was snowing but me. And it didn't last very long - I was exaggerating about five minutes though.
Fortunately she lives in a house. :)
And I'm thinking there was some heavy cream in there, but still healthy enough.
Talon -
I wonder how her cats like that bagpipe music - I'm thinking not so much.
I am sure you are tired of snow.

I need to try making that myself. What a wonderful vacation you are having.
Sara -
We are below freezing again this morning, too. I just have pansies outdoors - they seem to bounce back.
Riot Kitty -
I love the pipes, so they wouldn't drive me away, but I could see a squirrel getting alarmed. :)
Elephant's Child -
I guess because they are so often heard at funerals.
Mmmm risotto...I haven't made it in far too long!
I like that graffiti. I saw dirty car in a parking lot the other day, with "WASH ME" printed into the grime. That one never gets old for me.
I'm pretty sure that my daughter could get a herd of buffalo to leave the plains with her recorder!
Joanne -
I'll bet make it well, too.
Sparkling Red -
I keep thinking someone will do that to my car. :)
Mama Zen -
Ha! That made me laugh out loud!
I'd leave the neighbourhood if I heard anyone practicing the bagpipes. It really is a noise I can't stand.
I'm amazed the squirrel in our loft puts up with the noise that we all create in this house!
