- More yellow daisies at the Greenway Trail this weekend, spotted when walking with Laura and Janice. There was a giant festival - the Yellow Daisy Festival - held in their honor at Stone Mountain park this past weekend. I didn't go to it, but loved seeing their cheerful yellow faces along the way in this setting the most.
- Three men at Wal-mart automotive center say they can't change taillight bulbs in my car, because it would involve taking the mechanism out, trouble, trouble, etc., etc.. :) I know this is not true and go to AutoZone, where a smiling young lady takes care of it in less than five minutes.
- Making Gooey Chocolate-Chip Sandwich Bars for book group, held at my home last evening. Rich, chocolatey, and gooey indeed. They were a hit, but one was enough. The rest go to work today. When I first joined that group, I looked up what would be typically served at events like that and have always gone with the big three recommendation: Cheese (with crackers), fruit, and something chocolate.

Yellow daisies are sunshine epitomised. Love them.
I looked up the recipe for the Gooey Chocolate-Chip Sandwich Bars and could feel my clothing get tighter and my teeth develop cavities as I read. Beyond rich. One would indeed be enough, but I suspect I would love it.
I wonder whether the men at Wal-mart were lazy or ignorant. Or both.
Chocolate is always good!
It's crazy the lies that fly out of (male) mechanics' mouths when a woman comes into the shop! And frustrating.
Just the idea of a Yellow Daisy Festival sounds wonderful.
Those three men were lazy bums and didn't want to do the work. To the smiling young lady at Auto Zone I say, YOU GO GIRL!!
Oh Lynn, I looked at that sandwich bar. Oh why did I look?
Elephant's Child -
Me, too - so cheerful.
I'm trying to ignore those bars in their container in the back. The pressmen are eating them quickly, thank goodness. :)
Lazy, ignorant liars!
Sage -
I'll say!

It just tagged on another stop in an already more than busy day, but I'm glad I had it fixed at AutoZone. I wouldn't go back to Wal-mart for oil changes, except ironically, I like that they don't push other services on me. :)
Granny Annie -
She told me she had been with the company for two years - very professional and efficient. I filled out an online survey this morning and praised her to sky.
Let me know if you make them. :)
Oh, those bars sound delish. You know me and chocolate :)
Daisies are my favorite flower...especially the ones that grow helter skelter and brighten a day.
I want that recipe for the gooey chocolate Yum Yums!! PLEASE! My mouth was watering just reading your description....Mmmmmm! Can't wait to try these out....LOL!
I would love to find a book club. I gotta figure out who I am now that I am home all day. Maybe I can work at Walmart and learn replace tail light bulbs. :)
Ooh, thanks for sharing that recipe. Our latest Ladies Bible Study is "Hoping for Something Better". On the cover is a photograph of a box of gourmet chocolates. Every time I pick up this book it drives me to distraction with a craving for chocolate!
Thank you very much.Lynn! Now I feel like something very gooey and very chocolatey....to eat, that is!
So, thank you very much; and please excuse me while I go and rummage around in my fridge!
I want to walk into every auto place wearing a shirt that says, "Don't talk to me like I'm an idiot." Do you think that would help? :)
You really can't go wrong with cheese and crackers, fruit and something chocolate, can you?
Yellow daisies are such wonderful flowers. They last a long time and they have that cheerful look them. It must be nice to see them waving in the wild as the breeze tosses them about.
Good for you about AutoZone and also good to know. Thanks for sharing this. I will avoid Wal-Mart automotive center.
Hope you are doing well and have a great week:~)

That sounds like a great book - especially the cover photo. :)

I hope you found some chocolate!
Riot Kitty -
I don't think so, but I like the idea of it. :)

AutoZone doesn't do oil changes, but that's where I always get car batteries and such. They install them right in their parking lot. The last one I got was still under warranty and I got it free!
What a pretty flower scene there!
They really don't pay those Walmart guys enough I guess! I did mine myself- only took a little while.
oooo I want a gooey chocolate bar! I can eat those- Can't do crunchy ones!
Snaggle -
I know - they certainly don't get enough money. True.
Good for the smiling young lady!
