Beautiful moodiness, good things and random kindness

- My photo woes continue until I go the phone store and open my wallet.  Meanwhile - here is a photo that a friend took of clouds over the 'burbs this week.  Love the beautiful moodiness of it.

- And this was interesting - I get daily emails from PureWow, who targets an audience closer to the age of the woman in the photo in the link.  (Click on red link to view.)  Check out the "secrets to lifelong happiness" and item 2, in particular.  They may be on to something!  :)  Hmmm - wonder where that idea came from???

- Item 3 on the link is something I have been consciously doing more than once a day - extending acts of kindness.  There is so much turmoil in the news every day, not only internationally, but all around us, that I want to make sure everyone experiences something nice from me, if possible.  It might be holding the door for someone, letting someone go ahead of me in traffic, a kind word to someone who needs it.  It's the least I can do.

I hope your day is going well and that you have a lovely weekend!

Love that moody magic.
While I haven't articulated it, 2 and 3 from that list are part of my life. Item 1 gives me more trouble, though I suppose my quiet time in the early morning watching the sky, listening to the birds comes close. As does peaceful time in the garden.
Have a wonderful weekend.

It is definitely my plan to perform random acts of kindness once I am on my feet again. Lately I have been the recipient of so many good deeds it seems important to try to do much of the same. You inspire us all with your good things always.

I love the clouds photo and the fact that you called them moody. It's a perfect description!

That's a gorgeous photo....! I love what you said about random acts of kindness....A little thing like opening a door for someone or letting someone go ahead of you in line---these may seem like little things but if everyone did them this would be a much kinder and a much more loving world. Right now it feels as if we are living in full blown chaos....Some simple gentle caring acts seem like a wonderful antidote to the insanity that is everywhere these days......Lovely thoughts, my dear....And important ones, too!
Hope your weekend is filled with lots of lovely happenings.

The world needs more kindness, thanks for making it happen. And I like the cloud photo!

Clouds have so many ways of being beautiful.

Good luck with your phone upgrade! I finally bit the bullet and bought a new phone this winter, after struggling with an obsolete phone for months. It was so nice to get the new one. It took a few weeks to learn my way around it, but then it was a breeze!

I've heard making a list of three good things that happened can definitely improve your mood..as can doing random acts of kindness!

That is an awesome photo of the clouds, Lynn...absolutely beautiful.

The craziness that is going on all around us certainly does give one pause for thought...and makes us stop and want to do random acts of kindness...just a smile shared with a stranger...a kind word offered...simple things...but not so simple really because they can make such a huge difference.

I remember those clouds last week, they were magnificent! I wonder how many noticed them, and yet they there for anyone to see, free to all!

You may think it's the least you can do, but so many people don't - and the simple kindnesses in life greatly improve its quality.

I'm not sure I'm good on the kindness front I'm ashamed to say. It's something I'm working on, but I've often found during my life that the times I have been kind to people (normally my mother) they've rejected it.
