Shadow sisters, beautiful walk and in flight

- My sisters and I went for a walk last Friday on a gloriously warm and sunny morning.  We noticed that our shadows walked ahead of us, so I snapped a photo with my photo, but inadvertently cut myself off.  Still kind of neat though.

 - There they are again - I had lagged behind to take another photo.  This is a farm access road and a few friends of the tall sister there slowed in their cars to chat.

- There was a bird perfectly perched on the stump in the middle of that pond, but it flew away as soon as it sensed us nearby.  If you can left click to enlarge, you can see it in flight.

Thanks for coming along on our walk!  What a difference a week makes - it's 30 degrees outside here in Atlanta and I'm off to work.  Sigh.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Love your shadow sisters. (It is kind of the way I see my blogging buddies). And of course I loved the bird.
Have a wonderful weekend.

Oh I love the shadow pictures. I want to take a shadow picture with my sister. Even better one with my brother too. My favorite poem as a child was Robert Louis Stevenson's I HAVE A LITTLE SHADOW.

One can sense the love you share with your sisters...and it's heartwarming to sense/see. :)

Connecticut is pretty much like that now. Daytime temps in the 50's, which still makes for good walking weather and mowing the lawn.

That, looks like it was a fantastic day to take a walk in the park.

I love the way you said you inadvertently cut yourself off the photo, as I've never seen you, and would have quite liked to have seen your shadow!

Anyway, thanks for the walk, it looks like it was great fun and very beautiful. I hope you had a good weekend.
